Hard to put this into words, but I’m going to try…
Six years ago, I started a small outdoor bootcamp with the simple goal of bringing local people together - to improve their health and fitness, to build a real sense of community, and to help form friendships that would last.
It turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. What began as a small idea grew into something incredible, and I’m proud to be stepping away knowing it’s thriving.
Last night, a couple of weeks after passing the torch, we got together for some leaving drinks - and I was completely blown away. The generosity, the thoughtful gifts, the kind words… they meant more than I can ever properly express.
I’m not ashamed to admit the poem (attached) had me in tears, in a good way 😂.
I’ve been in the fitness industry for over 15 years now. Yes, it pays the bills - but it’s NEVER been about the money. I love helping people. I care deeply about everyone I work with. That’s always been my ‘why’.
To have played even a small part in your lives is a privilege. You’ve never been just names on a spreadsheet, never just members - you’ve been friends. Family.
I’ll miss you all, but I couldn’t be happier that the amazing Laura is taking the reins. She’s going to take camp to even greater heights.
Thank you - for the last six years, for every moment, for absolutely everything.
