Neil Lorimer Vice Chair and Adrian Collins Head of Development were very pleased to welcome Mark Pritchard, Shropshires local MP, to Shifnal CC this afternoon.

He was very complimentary of the work all our volunteers are doing in grassroots sport and our contribution to the local Shifnal area community.

The ground was all set out for junior coaching, which looked great.

We were very pleased to show him our facilities and discuss our plans for the development of the pavilion.

Mark was a former member of the Parliamentary Cricket team and even had an opportunity to turn his arm over in the nets and bowl some off spin.

Bill 'Welder' Davies-
He was a legend of Shrewsbury and Shropshire Cricket, being head Groundsman for many years and a player of distinction.

All at Shifnal CC are sorry to hear of Bill's passing yesterday,our thoughts are with his family, friends, & all at Shrewsbury CC. 🏏

The Lancashire opener was one of the pioneers of the Women and Girls’ cricket in Shropshire when she selected for the county’s very first Women’s XI when she was 10.

Shifnal Cricket Club loved hosting the last Street Food Social and can’t wait to welcome everyone back for another fantastic evening on Friday 3rd July, from 5pm–9pm!

Join us for a great selection of delicious food from some of the nation’s favourite street food vendors, alongside cool tunes and a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere.

📅 Save the date and make sure you don’t miss out!

🍻 The clubhouse bar will be open, and there’ll also be an outdoor bottle bar, so why not give yourself a night off from cooking and come along to enjoy the evening?

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Everyone is welcome – bring your family, friends, and even your dogs!

🚫 Please note: There is NO parking available on site, so we kindly ask visitors to walk to the venue where possible.

🏏 Kids’ cricket sessions will be taking place during the event, so please stick to the designated paths around the ground and use the allocated seating areas by the market to help everything run smoothly.
