Kaceys bike now looking fresh and ready for the next race. Few tweaks on the set up to maximise the bikes performance. Thanks to invisiframe for the support, a lot of time has gone into getting the bike set up and looking the part 👌 next stop Antur Stiniog to get some training laps in and finish off getting it dialled in 💪

Shifnal Cycles are proud to announce we have signed our first shop rider, we will be supporting Kacey through the tough journey of DH racing 💪

Kacey Hopley is a 15 yr old, Welsh, Shifnal based, passionate and determined mountain bike racer. Her love of bikes started at the age of 2 and has just grown ever since.
She has competed in enduro events and her primary discipline and focus is downhill racing.
In July 2024 she competed in her 1st mini downhill gravity event which she absolutely loved the experience and has continued to compete since.
She has competed in 23 various regional and national level events in the UK achieving 17 podium spots across these events. These events include 100% Mini downhill/enduro, Stockport world series, Pearce cycle events, Gravity events, British cycling Dh national series and her local Racers Guild Work components at Stile cop which she holds the overall u19 female series winner for 2025.
Kacey has carried significant momentum into this current season with 2 2nd place and a 3rd place podium so far showing strong consistency and speed.
She is particularly looking forward to competing a full series of Pearce cycles events this season and is motivated, focused and training hard to compete at more national DH events, whilst securing more podium spots, gaining more experience and learning new techniques to sharpen her skills and resilience, whilst improving her overall performance.

We are pleased to announce, Shifnal Cycles has teamed up with Adaptive Expeditions! This is an amazing organisation that help support injured veterans, be it physical or PTSD trauma they arrange expeditions that help us overcome our struggles by doing something physical to get us motivated and gain back that purpose and achievement.

If you follow the shop then you will know how far we have come in quite a short period of time. From a home workshop to a fully functioning high street bike shop. We are currently at a transition period where the shop is doing more than I can manage on my own. I have tried employees and that hasn’t worked due to numerous reasons but mostly due to lack of passion for the job. I have decided to try an alternative route and look for a potential business partner to invest or buy into the shop. If you are passionate about bikes and would seriously like to be apart of a growing business please get in touch.
