Orrell RUFC The Home of Rugby Union in Orrell and a founding member of the Orrell & Winstanley Community Sports

A great and fun community club based in Orrell with a long and proud history. We currently have a great 1XV team that play each Saturday in the North West 2 Division. The club also offers "TickNPass" fitness and wellbeing sessions for those wishing to just keep fit and active and meet people socially. The club also has a growing Mini and Junior Section offering grassroots rugby training, fitness and friendship to both boys and girls from age 6 upwards.

🏉 Want to improve your skills this summer under the guidance of Orrell RUFC Head Coach Denny Solomona?

The Pasifik Skills Summer Programme gives players aged 6–18 the opportunity to develop their rugby skills, game understanding, confidence and performance habits through six weeks of high-quality coaching.

Whether you're looking to prepare for next season, develop specific areas of your game, or simply enjoy learning in a positive and challenging environment, this programme is designed to help players of all abilities reach their potential.

Since arriving at Orrell RUFC, Denny has brought tremendous energy, knowledge and professionalism to the club. This summer programme is another opportunity for young players to benefit directly from his experience and passion for player development.

🏉 Pasifik Skills Summer Programme

We're delighted to see our Head Coach, Denny Solomona, launching the Pasifik Skills Summer Programme this summer in partnership with Orrell RUFC.

Since arriving at Orrell, Denny has brought tremendous energy, knowledge and professionalism to the club, and this programme is another opportunity for young players to benefit from his experience and passion for player development.

Open to players aged 6–18, the six-week programme will focus on developing skills, confidence, game understanding and performance habits in a positive, enjoyable environment.

Whether you're new to the game or looking to take your rugby to the next level, this promises to be a fantastic opportunity to learn from one of the sport's most exciting coaches.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended the Orrell RUFC AGM this week.

It was great to see such a good turnout and so many people taking an active interest in the future of the club.

We're delighted to announce that members voted 4 new members onto the Executive Committee, bringing it up to full strength for the first time in many years.

With our Centenary now less than a year away, this is another important step in strengthening the club as we prepare to celebrate our first 100 years and build for the next 100.

The club's accounts were approved by members and will be published online alongside the AGM minutes, actions and confirmation of Executive Officer appointments in the coming days.

Special thanks to St Luke's Church for their continued support and hospitality.

The Annual General Meeting of Orrell RUFC takes place this evening and we would encourage all members to attend.

The AGM is your opportunity to hear about the progress made across the club during the past season, learn about plans for the year ahead, and have your say on the future direction of Orrell RUFC.

As the club continues to grow, we're always looking for people who can help in any capacity. Whether that's supporting matches, helping behind the scenes, coaching or team manager roles or just standing for a role on the Executive Committee, new ideas and new volunteers are always welcome.

The future of Orrell RUFC has always been built by people willing to step forward and get involved.
