Home to Norfolk’s only traditional hedge maze, beautiful gardens, cafe, plant centre and gift shop! This is where you will find the viewing platform.

We have 10 acres of gardens and Norfolk's only traditional hedge maze. There are various themes in our gardens, from the Aromatic Garden to the Norfolk Riviera Garden. Norfolk's only traditional hedge maze is fun for all the family. Based on the footprint of the adjacent Beeston Priory ruins, the hornbeam and copper beach hedging produce this unique maze, while infusions of Prink Escallonia depict the tranquil Priory Cloister. We offer a quiz for the children (for only £1.75) and all participants will be put into a draw for a Family Season Ticket and a Toys r Us voucher- the prize is worth over £100! We have a wonderful cafe, plant centre and gift cabin, which are all open to non-garden visitors. The gardens and maze are open from April until the end of October, open Tuesdays to Sundays during term time. Open on Mondays during the school holidays and bank holidays. 🚒 Supporting our local fire service 🚒

On Thursday evening, while we were closed, we were pleased to welcome our local fire service to Priory Maze & Gardens, where they used our car park to practise a road traffic collision (RTC) scenario.

We’re always happy to support our local emergency services by providing a space for them to use when needed.

A big thank you to Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service and all the local crews for everything you do to keep our community safe. 👨‍🚒🚒

A tropical surprise at Priory Maze & Gardens!

One of our banana plants has produced this spectacular flower after the recent spell of warm weather. Bananas aren’t something you expect to see growing in the UK, making this a rather special sight here in the gardens. 🍌🌿

Known as the banana heart, it’s the start of the banana-growing process and a fascinating sight to see.

If you’re visiting over the next few weeks, see if you can find it! It’s one of the more unusual plants growing in the gardens.

🐸 Baby Frogs Have Arrived at The Maze! 🐸

After weeks of watching our pond teem with tadpoles, we’re excited to say they’ve started transforming into tiny froglets! Just look at this little one — no bigger than a fingernail and already exploring its new world. 🌿

It’s been amazing to see the full life cycle unfold right here at The Maze, and there are still plenty more making the journey from tadpole to frog.

If you’re visiting over the next few weeks, keep your eyes peeled around the pond and wildlife areas — you might spot one of these miniature adventurers for yourself! 👀🐸

Our Plant Centre, Maze & Gardens reopen for the new season this Saturday, 2nd of May, and we can’t wait to welcome you back.

Come and explore 10 acres of peaceful gardens, enjoy our traditional hedge maze, visit the plant centre and relax with refreshments in the café.

Price freeze 🥶 In a time when everything seems to be getting more expensive, we’re pleased to say we have frozen our 2025 admission prices and plant prices to help keep a family day out affordable.
