We were thrilled to be able to demo our Slapshot robot at the Norfolk Show this week, explaining VEX IQ to lots of new people, including some of our school friends. We received many positive, enthusiastic comments and hope we have encouraged others to give VEX a try. Huge thanks to the Dudgeon Community Fund and Miss Gardener from Sheringham High School for inviting us along. SHS Stem Club were there to demo Lego Mindstorm robots and The Players also had a Lego robot at the show. The STEMM area had loads of interesting organisations to meet. A brilliant, fun day!

We had such an amazing time competing at the 2023 VEX Robotics World Championship! The atmosphere was electric and it was great to meet so many people from all over the world!

Congratulations and thank you to every student that competed at the 2023 VEX Robotics World Championship! We applaud each and every one of you for your enthusiasm, hard work, and incredible displays of collaboration and sportsmanship! 👏 To the parents, educators, mentors, coaches, volunteers, and staff members that helped make this year's happen, thank you for making this year one to remember! See you next season for VRC Over Under and VIQRC Full Volume! 💙

Day 3 🤖

Yesterday was our last day here. We had only 3 matches left to play and managed some good scoring. Not quite enough to get us into the final round but we were sure to stay and watch our fellow contestants battle it out for first place! We’ve had an incredible time here, meeting people from all across the globe.
We have had to show resilience, enthusiasm to keep constantly improving, have great communication skills and excellent time management throughout. We’ve still made the time to have fun, like playing ball with other teams during our downtime.

Another huge thank you to every single person that has supported us and donated. We have really made the most of our experience, and although it has been extremely challenging we have loved every second!

Today we fly home ✈️

Day 2 🤖

Yesterday was a long day. 8am-6:30pm! One practice match and then 7 competitive matches. We managed some great scoring with other fantastic teams, our highest score of the day being 217 with team Penguin Robotics!
There is a huge practice zone here for us to use. We try and meet each team before our match together and practice as much as possible, agreeing on a strategy.
We finished the day mid table which was great!
