BODY COMPOSITION VS SCALE WEIGHT ๐
These photos are taken 14 days apart, and there is only 0.25kg difference in weight between these photos however, visually I look leaner and my measurements say I have made changeโs ๐
Letโs talk about body composition and Scale Weight ๐ฃ๏ธ
Body composition is what is referred to with the different percentages of muscle, fat, and bone in our bodies.
WHERE AS
Scale weight is measured at the total mass of all the different types of tissue in our bodies.
Scale weight is just a number that we get fixated on and some how has the power to make us feel s**t about ourselves and we tell ourself that if we get to a certain weight on scales then we will feel so much happier about ourselves. But the truth is for most people that when we get to this number that we have set for ourselves, Guess what ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ we still arenโt happy! Then we start moving that gatepost to a lower number and the cycle continues!
WHAT THE SCALES DONโT TELL YOU ARE:
โ๏ธHow amazing you are!!
โ๏ธ How much muscle mass you have
โ๏ธ How hard you have trained
โ๏ธ How you managed to run around after your children
โ๏ธ How you got into those jeans that didnโt fit you last year
The list goes on! So when you do your check in this week, Donโt let scale weight determine how you feel about yourself, what you have achieved this last week and how amazing you are. Because if changing your body composition was easy everyone would be doing it!
