Shepshed Cricket Club

Shepshed Cricket Club Morley Lane, Shepshed and Pudding Bag Lane, Shepshed Shepshed CC is a local village club that has been established since 2015.

The club provides cricket for the serious and social adult player through to veterans and for junior players at varying levels. We welcome players of all ages and abilities. We have a strong team spirit in all teams and a family atmosphere is felt throughout the club.

Tomorrow morning our Under 18 Girls will look to defend their county title in a repeat of last year's final against Lutterworth. The action starts at 10am over at Sileby Town, with food available and the bar open from 12.

A bit of rain around today but here are your teams for Week 20 - the final week for the 3s who host Mangela at Pudding Bag Lane. Moose will be looking to finish on a high! Other home entertainment comes from the 1s who face Loughborough Town at Morley Lane.

On the road the 2s have a huge game at Ibstock and the 4s make the trip to Great Dalby to face Egerton Park.

At Houghton & Thurnby the first team all but secured their Premier League status by successfully chasing the hosts 297. An opening partnership of 144 between Lakshay (106) and Corey (57) laying the foundations before all rounders Kyle (45) and Jonty (47*) got us close. A thrilling chase ended on the second to last ball - a great win for the 1s, their third in a row.

Despite the crows best efforts, Morley Lane served up a run-fest. Premier 2 leaders Greenfields showed their class with 299/9 despite 5 wickets for Kammy. In reply we made a healthy 271/3 of our own, thanks to half centuries from Lister and AK, plus 89 not out from Jamie.

The perfect Saturday was wrapped up by the 1s over at Lutterworth. Kyle digging us out of a hole with 65 before Gossy blasted 86 not out from 62 balls to get us up to 239.

3 wickets in an over from Jay got us ahead in the game before Jonty spun his way to 4-24. A very important win this an another great team effort.
