Lake is clear of ice and a great fish by member Martin. The first of our doubles finally caught. Been fishing well this week with both static and retrieving flies. Open Friday to Sunday to day tickets.

Sorry to say that the overnight temps have been enough to freeze us over. We will update as soon as we are ice free.

Good news! The lake is fishable. Some ice still in places but enough thawed to open this weekend.

Cold calm morning at The Mere. Fishing moving and taking on the drop. With the wind finally down looks like it’s going to be a great day.

Lake is fishing well with the new stock. Some nice browns caught yesterday. Black midge under an indicator and even one on a dry fly. Look out for Xmas opening times update soon.

Fresh stock of rainbows and browns up to 10lb. Day tickets welcome Friday, Saturday and Sunday this weekend. £40 per day, 8am - 4pm.

A beautiful morning at The Mere Flyfishing. With a new stock of rainbows and browns up to 10lb yesterday. A good morning's catch for our day tickets so far with the new and older fish chasing and returning to the water well.

South bay has been producing a good mix of rainbows and browns on a mixture of tactics. Browns falling more to lures like olive blue flash and orange fritz.
