A fantastic new community tennis club offering affordable coaching and membership to all.

We offer coaching for all ages and abilities and pride ourselves on the standard and affordability on all aspects of the club, especially the coaching. Members have use of changing rooms and toilets at the Country Club adjacent to the courts.

A celebratory drink for the ladies A team following a 2-2 draw against Lichfield Friary. Last game of the season and top of the league having won or drawn all of their matches. . Well done to all of the members team and thank you to all of our supporters.

Although the ladies C team lost away to Melbourne 4-0 there were some close fought sets that went to tie breaks for both our pairs. They may not have taken the tennis world by storm this season but they have had a lot of fun and gained some valuable experience. It’s fair to say, they have gained immensely in confidence and could not have played a set like those tiebreak sets last night, at the start of the season.
So a huge thank you and well done to everyone who has played this season, and a huge thank you for all the support and encouragement. Roll on next year!

A lovely game in the Cup and saucer league today against David Lloyd at home . David Lloyd won but we did manage to secure a set. Well played ladies!

Instead of the usual photo of the team, this shows the support for our B team in the Burton league today against Ashby Castle on a lovely sunny Sunday afternoon. After 2 championship tie breaks, a 4-0 home victory. Well played ladies.

We are now getting towards the business end of the leagues so home support really welcome.
Home matches for our teams in August are as follows:

Friday 7th - Staffs league v. Brewood, 6:00pm
Monday 10th - Cup & Saucer league v. David Lloyd, 11:00am.
Saturday 15th - Staffs league v. Linden Lea, 1:00pm.
Thursday 20th - Cup & Saucer v. Boldmere, 1:30pm.
Tuesday 25th - Burton league ladies A team v. Lichfield Friary, 6:00pm.

Some mixed results for our teams over the weekend. In the Burton league the men were away to Littleover Valley. Although losing 0-4, they had an ineligible player and gave us two of the matches, hence it resulting in a 2-2 draw. In the Staffordshire league the ladies lost 0-4 to Quarry Bank in some closely fought matches. Both first games lost on a championship tiebreak made up for by some nice hospitality afterwards with cakes and drinks.

A closely fought home match against Rolls Royce for the C team in the Burton league. Although losing 0-4, two of the matches went to a championship tie break.
