Lots of hours in the garage over the week to get the car out again after Sheffield but still lots of teething problems with the shale car at Mildenhall and Northampton last weekend. Some okay results and the pace wasn’t bad but just need to iron out some more issues.

At Buxton today for Lewis’ first time out on tarmac for 2023 🏁

Slightly later start to the season than we had planned and after some very hard work in the garage by Lewis to give his Dad time to recover, the meeting didn’t quite go to plan. After a hard hit into the fence and being collected several times by following cars, he only managed half a race due to the amount of damage.

Some time needed by Lewis in the garage again this week after school to get him out again for Mildenhall/Northampton at the weekend.

After a fairly big crash into the wall at Cowdenbeath the weekend before we couldn’t quite get the car right again.

Ipswich 18th June

Heat 1 - DNF
Hear 2 - 12th

Once we arrived to Ipswich he had a practice and the car was handling well and Lewis seemed pretty happy. He then went out and was going well but had to pull off due to the accelerator cable snapping. We then got this fixed for the next heat and he managed to pick up a 12th place, however he had to get pushed off the track and we found that there was a problem with the engine which ended our weekend.

Hopefully we can get it sorted and get back out again soon! 🏁

Hednesford 3rd April 2022:

Not the best of days today. Didn’t finish first heat cos of clutch issues. 7th in heat 2 and 5th in heat 3. Got a really good start in the British but only for his brakes to completely fail on the yellow flag, which meant an early retirement.

Heat 3 - 5th
Final (British Championship) - DNF

Championship gremlins strike again!

Northampton 26th March 2022:

Mixed results at Northampton yesterday for what was the first proper time back on shale for what seemed liked ages. The car seemed to like when the track was sticky but seemed slightly down with power in the next two races when it was dry.

Heat 1 - 4th
Heat 2 - 9th
Final - 12th

Our next meeting is at Hednesford on the 3rd April for the Ministox British Championship! 🏁

Sunday 20th March 2022 :

Yesterday was our first meeting of the 2022 season and it was a decent way to start off. In his heat he struggled a bit with the handling and had a bit of a collision with the wall but he continued and picked up 12th place which put him into the consolation. He then drove amazingly and he came 1st! This then meant he got into the final. He drove brilliantly, battling with the other superstars for the first few laps and got through the pack, from the back of the grid, really well and managed to get 9th.

Transponder didn't seem to be working in the final, but seemed to be going really well and improving on times.

Heat 1 - 12th (only top 10 to final)
Consolation - 1st
Final - 9th (not bad considering he started 29th on the grid)

Looking forward to our next meeting at Northampton on the 26th March on the shale :)) 🏁
