We are South Yorkshire’s premier competitive swimming club and train at the prestigious Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield which accommodates both 25m and 50m training facilities . Within our squads we have International swimmers, National Age/Youth winners and finalists, and we compete at County, District and National levels, including various open meets through-out the year. We are a British Swimming selected club and are regularly ranked in the top 10 clubs in Great Britain. Our aim is to compete at the highest levels possible in the sport placing swimmers on the podium at all domestic and International level meets. To receive more information about COSSS

Swim 21 is the Amateur Swimming Association’s (ASA) club development model, enabling clubs to help swimmers, coaches and administrators achieve their full potential. It is centered around the needs of the swimmer, and strives to provide them with the best possible training environment. It is regarded as the backbone of the ASA's development programme. The Swim21 scheme also provides a “kite marking” process for swimming clubs to be graded by. When awarded, it shows that absolute best practice in swimming provision is being used. There are four levels of Swim 21 accreditation, and once a club has chosen its level, it is then graded within that level:

Skill Development
Competitive Development
Performance
Following a rigorous assessment, City of Sheffield Swim Squad has received the prestigious recognition of a Gold Standard, Performance Club award. This award, is the highest possible level in England, showing that we are fully capable of delivering podium success at international level. We are very proud to be one of the few clubs in England to have achieved this award, and are totally committed to giving our swimmers the best possible support on their Olympic journey. 🏊 ENTRIES ARE STILL OPEN – TEASPOON 2026 🏊

Join us for Teaspoon 2026 at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre on Sunday 20th September.

The meet features 50m & 100m Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Freestyle events and is the perfect opportunity to kick-start the new season, race for new PBs and gain valuable competition experience.

Entries are being accepted on a first come, first served basis, so don’t leave it too long!
