Resilience is built in the mistakes.
Built by having the courage to try, get things wrong and be willing to go again.
When young players understand that mistakes are part of learning, and football at every level, they stop fearing failure and start responding to it.
The best players still make mistakes. The resilience is what allows them to learn, adapt and keep playing with purpose.
And It’s one of the key character traits I develop within my player development programme, because becoming a better footballer isn’t only about what a player can do. It’s also about how they respond when things don’t go their way.
