Who needed this reminder today? 🤍

Sometimes life makes us feel as though the whole world is against us. We worry about what others think, fear rejection, and carry battles that nobody else can see.

But perhaps the greatest strength is not having everyone stand with us.

Perhaps it is knowing that even if nobody understands us, God does.

If the Divine is with you, who can truly stand against you?

Maybe this is your sign to stop living in fear and start building the most important relationship of all your friendship with God.

Not only in times of need.
Not only when life falls apart.
But in the ordinary moments too.

✨ Talk to Him.
✨ Trust Him.
✨ Laugh with Him.
✨ Share your fears with Him.

Because the bond between you and God is stronger than any storm and deeper than any loneliness.

If the whole world turned against you tomorrow, would your relationship with God still be enough to give you peace?

And when was the last time you spoke to Him as a friend rather than only in times of need?

Not every wound leaves a scar you can see.

Some are carried quietly in the hearts of those who gave their all and asked for very little in return.

Love does not keep score.
But respect, gratitude, and kindness reveal who we truly are.

Before life moves any faster, take a moment to remember the people who stood beside you when you had nothing to offer but hope.

Some gifts can never be repaid.
Only honoured.

I think there is something sacred about still choosing to rise after surviving heavy seasons. 🌿

Not because it is easy.
Not because the world always deserves it.

Joy is not something I wait for anymore…

A softer life.
A lighter heart.
A calmer mind.
A soul that trusts the timing of life instead of fighting it.

I’m learning that alignment isn’t found in pressure, pain, or proving.
It’s found in feeling good, feeling grateful, feeling alive. ✨

Watching Michael Jackson growing up felt different. ✨

Not because he was famous.
Not because the world told us to admire him.

But because you could feel something bigger in him —
depth, mystery, humanity, pain, magic, purpose.

That era of music carried soul.
Michael Jackson. Eagles. Artists whose songs became memories, emotions, and moments people carried for life.

There was no endless social media noise, no obsession with visibility or algorithms. Yet somehow their art touched the entire world — because it was real.

Today we have endless content everywhere… but sometimes I wonder if we have slowly lost the emotional depth and magic that music once carried.

Seeing Naanka Vehra — a film born from a poem in that same collection screened in Bradford was deeply special.

Despite the cold and busy schedules, Bhanu Partap and Raaje (my husband) came to support — and that meant everything. 🤍
And Jagraj surprised me by coming straight from a creative work assignment to join us.

From India to the UK.
From poems to films.
From dreams to real moments — this creative path is something we’ve always walked together.

Writing didn’t just give me a voice —
It helped transform my life.
From page to screen. From private to public. From hope to lived reality.

🖊️ Pen and paper became my magic wand.
Words became courage.
Story became destiny in motion.

And there was something special …

✨ “I am loud — that’s the power of the North.” ✨
And honestly? I loved it.

Last night at Keighley Creative, Bradford, during The Unit’s Five Minute Film Club screening of my film-poem Naanka Vehra (created during Sheffield Hallam University’s Film Summer Club), host Casey said without a mic:

“I am loud — that’s the power of the North.”

I felt that in my bones.

Yes — I am loud too.
Not in volume.
But in presence. truth. purpose.

I’ve written a poem about this — about being asked to be quieter, softer, easier to fit in.

✨ Yes, I am loud. By design. ✨

I gifted Casey my poetry collection Reflection of Life and shared the same poem I recently read at Women of Faith at St Mary’s Church — where people even photographed it because it spoke to something deeply shared.
