Tricks or treats for the competitors at today's National Hill Climb Championships on Winnats Pass. The weather certainly had a few tricks up its sleeve, but these tasty treats proved very popular and were quickly snapped up! Congratulations to all the competitors who laughed in the face of the torrential rains, and especially to the record-setting winners and Tom Bell who took away their beautiful blue john trophies

We've been getting quite a few messages asking for some of the basic information about , and realise that it's not always that easy to find the race manual (available if you "download startsheet" here: https://www.cyclingtimetrials.org.uk/race-details/22014 ), and that the race manual is quite long.

Delighted to support the riders and organisers, and looking forward to an awesome morning of racing at the 2021 National Championships on Winnats Pass next weekend. Gonna be a whole mountain of pain going down there so come along and add your support too!

A great first day back in action for some of our inspirational athletes. Great mix of goals on display here - one Everesting challenge at the end of August, one Dieppe to Nice cycle tour in September, a postponed Mallorca 312 set for October and a repeat Ironman for 2021. Our doors are now open! It's been 131-days since we last provided access to our in-house developed training sessions and we can't wait to see everyone again! It has been too long. We hope you've enjoyed our recent posts of the extra measures in place to help our athletes and visitors train with confidence post-lockdown. Been a long time coming but we are endurance specialists, so we know how to dig deep and channel the pain. Welcome back!

Just 24-hours before we finally open our doors once more, and welcome our athletes back inside! Today we thought we should introduce you to The Beast - not an evil new workout but our new industrial fan that will help us circulate fresh air through our training environment at more than 20 lites/s, in line with the new UK guidelines. Great for ventilation but don't forget to bring your headphones and a few tunes! And a couple of other reminders that changing rooms, shelf storage and lockers are currently out of use to help maintain social distancing so come along geared up and ready to go. Can't wait to see you all again!

For Day 3 we wanted to show you some of the extra measures we've installed to keep our visitors safe. These include the large screens and PPE intended to be used during "close contact" services like bike fitting and blood lactate assessments where 2m social distancing is impossible. Actually our inexpensive basic bike fitting service has proved extremely popular in recent weeks with riders who have returned to, or only recently taken up cycling during lockdown. Many have noticed pains and niggles developing during their early rides and have contacted us to have their bikes set up for optimum comfort. Second day of the big reveal of our lockdown changes so that we can minimise risk and help keep our visitors safe. We don't have much space to play with at Skyhook Coaching but we've mananged to arrange our active trainers at 2-metre intervals. And by cutting our capacity we have met the government guidance of 1 person per 100sq ft (~10sq m). Sadly this means fewer places available for you to book each session, but it's what we've done to keep everyone safe while you train smarter. Hope to see you soon! @ Skyhook Coaching Services
