Massive well done to all the lads stepping through the ropes for the very first time under Finch Boxing Academy. It takes courage, commitment, and plenty of hard work to get to this point, and every one of you should be proud of yourselves.

A special mention as well to our first-time kickboxer competing at Steel Evo. All the hard work in the gym has led to this moment—go and enjoy it.

A big shoutout too to Adam, making his second run at the mill. Another opportunity to showcase the work that's been put in and continue building experience.

Whether it's your first time or you're back for another outing, stepping into the ring takes character. Trust your training, enjoy the occasion, and leave everything in there.

We had an amazing turnout last night for sparring! All the lads gearing up for the interclub in a few weeks showed up, plus a few new faces in the mix 👊

Big shoutout to Logan and Joe—some seriously tough rounds, proper graft in the trenches. That’s exactly what they’ll need on the day, and the progress they’re making is quality to see!

Just over a month to go until competition and we couldn’t be happier with you lads. Coach Finch and Rich are buzzing with all of you 💪

Just another solid Thursday at home with the Steel Evo Lads 👊

Good to have some of the extended Steel Evo crew dropping in too — always adds to the atmosphere.

Plenty of variety tonight:
🔥 Technical rounds sharp and focused
⚡ Fast-paced work pushing the tempo
💪 And those gritty last 20 seconds where you’re holding each other up to get through it

That’s what it’s about.

We’ve been putting in a lot of work on defensive drills, catch and counters in Finch’s boxing class — Mondays and Wednesdays at 7pm 👊

Rich has been working spinning back fists and even flying spinning back fists in his class, getting them sharp and dialled in — Tuesdays at 7pm 💫

Now let’s see if it all comes together and gets put into practice at sparring tonight… every Thursday at 7pm 🔥

Our MMA Kids Camp runs from 28–31 March, 10am–2pm in Stocksbridge (S36) and is open to boys and girls aged 7–16.
