Pre-season continues tomorrow morning as we take on Shepley Spitfire FC (formally Woodhouse Wanderers) at Sheffield Springs Academy!

This week will be a tough test for the lads against a side competing in the division above us in the upcoming season. However, it gives us a great opportunity to pitch ourselves against an experienced, quality opposition and show what we are capable of.

A big win for Sheffield Albion in our first pre-season outing yesterday morning as we fought back from a goal down to win 3-1 against newly formed Norfolk Park FC!

A competitive game from start to finish with both teams desperate to get the win. We started brightly and on the front foot before a quick Norfolk breakaway put us a goal down. Despite this the lads continued to create going forward and by HT we were back on level terms thanks to a deflected cross looping over the keeper.

The second half saw us again take control and after an excellent shot come cross was lashed right across the face of goal, the gaffer was able to steer home the ball (just) with his right foot!! The second half stayed a close affair before a cutback strike from the skipper took another wicked deflection and the ball looped over and questionably through the Norfolk keepers hands and we found ourselves two goals to the good!

Despite some late Norfolk pressure and a couple of excellent 1 on 1 stops from Sam in goal we managed to see out the result for a cracking start to pre-season!

MOTM award goes to Tommy for a fantastic display at CB. He kicked and headed everything that came his way and even had an impressive 15 minute cameo in midfield at the end to top off a excellent performance.
