For all Hallam members, players past and present it was a huge wrench to move from there home at Sandygate up the road to crimicar lane. Tireless work and fundraising efforts have meant that crimicar has now become the home of Hallam CC. Thus it was fitting that the current chairman, Matt Davies and the previous chairman Matt Mawson together cut the rope that officially opened Hallam's new practice facilities at their new ground. The new three lane facility will allow enhance practice opportunities for Hallam's many junior members and seniors alike.

This Friday is our last ‘All Stars’ Friday of the summer! What a summer it’s been for our 200+ Friday night ‘All Stars’ getting their first taste of cricket! (4-8 year olds)

Last chance of the summer to come along, grab a burger (or Naren’s much sought after 🍗 !) enjoy a hand pulled Ale and dip your spoon deep into some ‘Our Cow Molly’ ice cream!

Friday at Crimicar lane from 5pm….🏏☀️🍔🍺🍦

What a nut! A great delivery from one of our own as Jay Singh served this up this beauty to take the wicket of the Indian Under 19 opener in his debut for England Lions under 19’s this past week in Loughborough 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇮🇳🏏🦁

We’re delighted to say that our brand new three-lane nets are now fully up and running at Crimicar Lane.

After a lot of time and effort from members of the club, this will be an amazing addition to our home ground and will make a massive difference to all of our members!

Hallam CC are very saddened to hear of the passing of one of our Life Members, Alan Farnell.

Alan, a former solicitor, was President of HCC for 16 years until 2019, having been actively involved since 1988, when his sons joined the club as juniors. He subsequently made a dedicated contribution to all aspects of junior cricket, in particular in the training of junior scorers.

Alan passed the umpire’s course in 2006 and joined the South Yorkshire umpires panel. Two years later, following the passing of Tony Skipworth, he was appointed as the South Yorkshire League’s Child Welfare Officer. He served the league in this role until 2019, having also acted as an adviser on disciplinary matters, and was a long-serving treasurer to the ACO South Yorkshire Branch.

We send our deepest sympathies to Alan’s family and friends.

For those who knew him, Alan’s funeral will be at Our Lady & St Thomas’ Church in Meadowhead/Woodseats - Thursday 26th June at 1pm - details of wake TBC

It will also be streamed and if anyone wants the link to do so they can email [email protected]

Congratulations and massive thanks to Rishi, part of our U11 squad, who raised £282 with his raffle at the Doncaster v Sheffield Medics annual cricket match.

Rishi wanted to raise money for HCC and it will be used to buy much needed additional training equipment for our junior cricketers.

What an amazing selfless act.

Well done, Rishi! 💚💛
