*Introducing Eva Spence*. More fantastic news as we welcome back Eva Spence back to our coaching team.

A familiar face to many, Eva has over 11 years of competitive swim experience and a lifelong passion for aquatics.

A proud homegrown talent, she has represented Orion at every level, from local meets, to the English and Welsh National Championships.

Eva returns to coach assorted sessions over the summer whilst she’s back from Uni.

She balances her academic pursuits with elite athletics, and is part of the prestigious GB Rowing Development Programme. We’re so happy to have her home!

🏊 Welcome home, Coach Ellie! 💜

We’re thrilled to announce Ellie Sibbald-Perkins as Orion’s new Lead Performance Coach for next season.

Ellie is Orion through and through. She’s been swimming with us since age nine, going on to City of Birmingham, the University of Birmingham Swim Team and the Loughborough University AU Squad.

Her highlights: multiple County, Regional and National titles, plus fastest Youth in the 200m Breaststroke at the 2019 British Championships, earning her a Team GB spot at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Baku.

She’s coached our Junior Squads before, lives our values, and now returns with a Masters in Physiology and Nutrition of Sport and Exercise, bringing real expertise to land training and meal planning too.

We can’t wait for September. Join us in welcoming Ellie back home. 💜

Well done to our Orion swimmers who took part in the Swimgainz Junior Development gala yesterday.

The swimming was excellent, with many competing for the first time. It was super fun!

Thank you to all of our volunteers and officials who helped Orion host this gala.

Our AMAZING Junior League team, led by Captains Noah & Ava, represented the club with pride in the A Final earlier this month. There was a fantastic atmosphere and the swimmers had so much fun. We saw many incredible performances. What an achievement to make this prestigious final - 2 years in a row!! Huge thanks to Head Coach Steve and the brilliant coaching team, our costume designer, team managers, officials and (of course) our very supportive parents 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 ⭐️ 🏊🏼‍♀️

⭐️Aquatics GB Next Gen Championships success! CONGRATULATIONS to Emelia Spence for winning the Silver medal in the Women’s 13/14yrs 100Freestyle with a fantastic time of 59.24sec!! What an incredible achievement- we’re so proud.✨ Also competing this week we have Josh Mitchell-Storey, Larissa Dean, Laura Tuan-Mu, Alice Box, Isobel Poade and Rachel Ho. Good Luck swimmers 💜

We are so proud of our Coach Ellie who graduated this week! 🎓Congratulations on achieving a FIRST CLASS BSc(Hons) degree in Sport and Exercise Science. ✨ Your achievements, both of in and out of the pool, are an inspiration to the swimmers at Orion.
