⛵ Throwback to Bart’s Bash 2014! ⛵

On 21 September 2014, the very first Bart’s Bash took place — a global sailing race held at hundreds of venues around the world in memory of Olympic gold medallist Andrew “Bart” Simpson.

It was a huge event, setting a Guinness World Record for the largest sailing race held in a 24-hour period. 🌎⛵

And Ulley Sailing Club was right there taking part! We had an incredible 38 boats and 50 sailors on the water, with everyone joining in the worldwide celebration of sailing.

We’ve taken part in Bart’s Bash a number of times since, but that first one certainly remains a memorable day in the club’s history. ❤️⛵

Want to improve your powerboat handling skills? We have an RYA PB2 course coming up at Welbeck Sailing Club. Booking can be done through the Welbeck Sailing Club Website. Places are limited, so be quick if you want a place.

⛵️ Weekend sailing at Ulley! ⛵️

With Wednesday evening sailing now finished for the season, our weekends are where it’s at! 😎

For the rest of September and throughout October, we’ll be sailing on Saturdays and Sundays.

From November, Saturday sailing finishes for the season, so we’ll sail on Sundays only, right through to Boxing Day. We’ll then take a short winter break.

So make the most of the sailing while you can and come and join us:

⛵ Saturday from 10am – casual sailing throughout the day
⛵ Sunday from 11am – casual sailing, with optional races at 12pm, 2pm and 3pm
☕ Not sailing? No problem – pop down for a cuppa, a chat and a catch-up with your club friends. 😊
