Need a quick mental game tip for your next round? šā³ļø
If youāre the type of golfer who instantly focuses on everything that went wrong after a shot⦠this oneās for you š§
Try using sarcasm to interrupt the negativity.
Instead of:
āBrilliant⦠another terrible shot šā
Try:
āLovely. Absolute masterpiece šā¦ at least I committed to it.ā
Or:
āWell that was special šā¦ I can still get up and down from there.ā
Sounds silly? Maybe.
Effective? Often.
Why? Because for a lot of golfers, forcing āpositive thinkingā feels fake. Sarcasm can be a much easier bridge between beating yourself up and actually finding something useful. (Speaking from experience šš)
Youāre not pretending the shot was great⦠youāre just giving your brain something more helpful to work with before the next one.
Polish the š©ā¦ then move on š
