Are you a student who loves football, social media, filming, photography and creating content?
Ecclesfield Red Rose 1915 are looking for a creative and enthusiastic student to help us take our club’s social media to the next level.
We are a historic grassroots football club, established in 1915, with teams ranging from our junior sides through to our senior men’s football.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a student studying Media, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, Photography, Sports Media, Content Creation or a related subject to gain genuine hands-on experience within grassroots football and build a portfolio of real work.
WHAT YOU’LL BE INVOLVED IN
📱 Creating content for Facebook, Instagram & TikTok
🎥 Filming and editing Reels, TikToks and short-form videos
⚽ Matchday content across our teams
📸 Match photography and behind-the-scenes content
🎙️ Player, coach and manager interviews
🏆 Match previews, results and Player of the Match content
🔥 Creating engaging content around big games and club events
🤝 Sponsor features and promotional content
💡 Coming up with new social media ideas and campaigns
📊 Looking at what content performs well and helping us grow our audience
📅 Helping plan a regular social media content schedule
THE OPPORTUNITY
We’re not looking for someone simply to post the occasional fixture or result.
We want someone who can bring creativity, ideas and their own personality to the club’s social media.
You’ll have the opportunity to work on real football content, real matches and real events, with your work published across our social media channels and seen by our players, parents, supporters, sponsors and the wider local football community.
It would also provide plenty of content that can be added to your CV and personal portfolio.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You don’t need years of experience.
We’re more interested in someone who:
• Loves football and social media
• Understands TikTok, Instagram Reels and Facebook
• Is confident filming on a phone/camera
• Can edit short-form video
• Has a creative eye
• Is reliable and enthusiastic
• Isn’t afraid to suggest new ideas
• Wants to develop a career in media, marketing, journalism or content creation
If you’ve got examples of your own work, we’d love to see them.
HOURS & FLEXIBILITY
We’re happy to discuss an arrangement that works around your studies and course requirements.
This could potentially be:
• Part-time work
• Work experience
• An industry placement
• A university/college project
• A longer-term student role
We’re particularly interested in someone who can attend some weekend fixtures and club events to capture live content.
