🌟 We’re Hiring – Lead Squad Coach 🌟

Are you an enthusiastic and ambitious swimming coach looking to inspire the next generation of athletes? City of St Albans Swimming Club (CoStA) is excited to welcome a new Lead Squad Coach to our coaching team!

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with talented county and regional swimmers, helping them grow, achieve and thrive as part of one of Hertfordshire’s leading competitive swimming clubs.

What we’re looking for:
🏊 Level 2 Swimming Coach qualified
💙 Positive, motivated and team-oriented
📣 Strong communication skills and a passion for athlete development
➕ Level 3 and First Aid qualifications are desirable

About the role:
📍 Based in St Albans, Hertfordshire
⏰ Approx. 12 hours per week (mornings, evenings and weekends)
✅ SwimMark accredited club

We are beyond excited and proud to announce our Summer National Qualifiers! 🏊‍♂️💫
Incredible progress from last year:
✨ GB Champs:
Last year: 1 swimmer in 3 events
This year: 4 individual swimmers + 1 relay across 7 events!
✨ Swim England Summer Nationals:
Last year: 6 swimmers across 9 events
This year: 8 swimmers across 18 events!

What a night in the 800 Free!
🥇Addison backed up last weekend’s 1500 title in style with another brilliant swim and an 800FC win!
🥉 James Nelson stormed to his first ever regional medal, smashing his PB in the process 💥
👏 Massive shoutout as well to John H-D, who’s only just returned from injury and still stepped up to race the 800 tonight — impressive resilience and determination.

What a fantastic start to the East Region Long Course Swimming Championships 2026! 🏊‍♂️
Our 14 & Under swimmers kicked things off in Norwich with incredible performances:
🥇 1 Gold
🥈 2 Silver
🥉 1 Bronze
🔥 15 finals appearances (Top 8 finishes)
A brilliant weekend all around—now we look ahead to the final weekend of regionals next week. Let’s keep the momentum going! 💪
