Great turnout out this weekend at OLP, after our Ramadan/Eid break. It was fantastic getting. reacquainted with all your smiling faces.

Do note we are expecting hotter weather in the upcoming weeks. Please ensure all children have appropriate clothing on as well as a drink.

Another amazing turnout under the blue skies for our Saturday session at Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park, we are beginning to reach our weekly average of 125 kids and still growing. Almost a decade of coaching and development for our local children!

As you will be aware, during the 12pm – 1pm (5-8 years) session we have begun to develop ‘in game’ scenarios by having 5 aside tournaments split over 4 small action-packed pitches. Throughout the tournament, every team will play on each pitch which is overseen by a different coach, with a different coaching aim in the game. The purpose of this is to develop a childs in game ability under pressure.

The later session 1pm – 2pm (9 – 16 years) are larger numbered games ranging from 9 aside to a full 11 aside. The games are coached and refereed but are mainly intended to provide a fun game for already developed young members of Darnall.

If you have a child aged 5 – 16 years old and they wish to further their footballing skills, as well as have some fun, then please do come down and join our sessions. Our main aim is to shine a light on the great BAME football players that come from our community and feed those exceptional players into our football club (Darnall Diamonds JFC).

Darnall Diamonds have a close bond and partnership with local professional football clubs. In the past we have had players pass trials for the likes of Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday. We will continue to work with those professional clubs to give the great players of our community the best chance.

Finally some sun! ☀️

It was great to see over 120 children attend the weekends coaching sessions, including 18 girls taking part in the exclusive session 1-2pm.

As the weather improves, we can see the numbers start to get back to the usual amounts. Thank you so much for your support, lets keep growing!
