🔴⚫️ Charnock Ridgeway Junior FC U11 vs Wath Football Club U11 Black 3rd May 9.30am KO 🔴⚫️

Another early one and with no subs again a real test for the boys. Charnock starting well with lots of possession and against the run of play conceding early. Sonny quickly getting us back level. The opposition netted a couple more before half time leaving the team with a lot to do in the second half.

Second half and Charnock really digging deep and not letting their heads drop. With 10 to go Sonny found the net again twice to round off a hatrick. A really good team performance and with no subs a real result for them today.

🔴SDJL U7’s April Cup Winners⚫️
Absolutely blown away by how well these lads played today, they never let up! Some of the best football we’ve ever seen them play attacking all the time the press was excellent all dropping when needed Dan in the net was solid and nothing was getting past him💪. They all went out and dominated the play and got the job done! The coaches have never been so proud of these lads and this is a great boost for their confidence and believing in themselves as a team coming to the end of the season, so well done lads.
Stan and Seb gaining the awards today for excellent performances but it was a hard decision as all of the lads could have quite easily won them!

Sun 19th v Junior Blades cup game
Firstly just wanted to praise the boys on their training ethic they come every week listening willing to learn without exception!
This game yesterday just goes to prove that this is now paying off.
We’ve been working on positioning and letting the ball do the work, and pressing.
We went out and the boys went to work great passing and attacking play! Dropping back to defend when needed everything was on point.
Coaches couldn’t have asked for anything more and we got the result! Daniel was excellent in goal and pulled off some fantastic saves and the rest of the team played probably some of the best football they have played in ages 💯So well done team!
MOM goes to Ollie as he was on fire yesterday and PPOM goes to Seb as this lad is just getting better every week! Big Shout out to all the team for battling hard and getting a well deserved result and getting into the final!

🔴⚫️ Charnock Ridgeway Junior FC U11 vs City of Sheffield Football Club U11 Black 19th April 9.30am KO 🔴⚫️

An early one for the lads this morning in the cup and again with no subs looking like being a tough match. After conceding early the boys really settled in and dominated a lot of possession before Asher hit a great strike and a lovely dummy from Sonny to see the ball hit the net.

Second half and Charnock doing all they could but a lack of subs really proving the difference today. Unlucky for the lads today and with some subs perhaps a different result. We keep building and onto next week.

Again another performance the boys can be proud of. Onwards and Upwards.

We are incredibly proud to share that our U9 team has been awarded the prestigious Sarah Tanser Fair Play Award. 🏆

Out of 24 teams that traveled to Filey for the weekend tournament, on the 4th & 5th of April, we were chosen by the referees and tournament staff to receive this trophy.

The U9 manager says:
We pride ourselves on our conduct on and off the pitch. To have that recognised by those running the tournament and have them choose us for such a special award, we are over the moon.

The trophy will be shared amongst all the players, as it's the combined hard work of every single team member that has made this possible.

Charnock Ridgeway Football Club are looking for a group of reliable volunteers to join a rota covering our car park at Norton Aerodrome on Sundays.

💷 Pay: £50 per session
➕ £10 per hour for anything over 5 hours

👤 Who can apply:
• Ages 16+
• Friendly, organised, and happy to help on busy match days

This is a great opportunity to support a local grassroots club, be part of the community, and earn a bit of extra money at the same time.

⚽️ Charnock Ridgeway U9’s take on the Filey Tournament 🏆

What a weekend! Our U9s traveled to the coast for the Filey Tournament, joining teams from across the country for two days of non-stop football and team bonding. Proudly showing off our sponsors SAS Gas Services Ltd Fancy Fries New Image Paint & Spray

Based at Thornwick Bay Holiday Park, the kids made the most of their downtime. Beyond the tactics and goals, it was a brilliant team-building opportunity where the players could just be kid, playing, laughing, and strengthening those friendships that make our team so special.

The action kicked off on Saturday Bridlington Sport Centre. After battling through the group stage matches against some top-tier talent, we fought our way to the final.
It was a total nail-biter that went all the way to penalties. While we narrowly missed out on the top spot by the thinnest of margins, we couldn’t be prouder. We walked away with a well-earned 2nd Place trophy 🥈 and our heads held high!

Sunday:
Despite an early start at 9.30am and the British weather taking a turn with high winds and a hailstorm, the team didn't miss a beat.
The highlight of the day? Charnock Ridgeway was officially nominated by tournament staff and referees for the Fair Play Award out of a possible 24 other teams 🤝

Charnock U9’s, pride ourselves on fairness and respect. Being recognised by the officials for our conduct means just as much to us as the silver medals. These kids are a joy to coach, and they’ve made the coaching team, the parents, and the entire Charnock Club incredibly proud.
Well done, everyone! 🔴⚫️⚽️

🔴⚫️ Redfearn JFC U11 Blues vs Charnock Ridgeway Junior FC U11s 29th March 9.30am KO 🔴⚫️

An early one for the lads this morning and with no subs was looking like being a tough match. First half the boys battled for everything as a team. Brilliant passing, defending and some great saves from Tristan.

Second half and again Charnock giving everything for the team. The lads unlucky to concede but that didn't stop them, they battled on to the final whistle. A great effort from Asher tipped over the bar by the keeper in the dying minutes, the lads unlucky not to sn**ch something from the game.

An unbelievable performance from every single one of them. Couldn't be any prouder today !

These lads go from strength to strength every weekend we go out and we see nothing but improvement and teamwork. Their determination is amazing to watch and growing all the time! They aren’t a team who get walked all over and every score line proves that! We were a bit unlucky today but onwards and upwards. Well done to Laine for getting MOM for never giving up he’s just the epitome of this team and a big well done to Seb for getting PPOM for his enthusiastic performance today! All the lads worked so hard today 👏👏!
