What a wonderful Basketball session played yesterday for our last day of the season. We are so proud of each and every player that have shown great improvement in there basketball, social and communication skills. We have great Coaches: Steele and Nathan that not only understand each player but have great strength and support to help them grow. For the last year we had the lovely Evie that fitted in to our coaching team great and all players accepted her very quickly, but we sadly had to say goodbye to Evie last night as she moves on to bigger things and we wish her well. Thank you to each and everyone who came to our basketball session at Sheffield Special Stars. We look forward to seeing all your smiling faces back in September. Have a great summer holiday! 🏖🏀

Well 2025 and the start of our basketball session is off to a great start!

But on a sad note, our previous coach Oliver has gone onto pastures new with his job and we all wish him well with his future.

So now .........

Our wonderful assistant coach, Steele, has now been promoted to head coach and has been doing a grand job. Nathan has now been moved up to assistant coach and support worker. Finally, new to the team is our lovely Evie, who is the trainee coach. All are working well has a team, and at Sheffield Special Stars are luck to have them.

Last night was the end of our 2023/24 Basketball session for this season, until September. Like every year, we ended with an awards ceremony where our player's and coaches get their well deserved awards.

As always, we are so proud of each and every one of them.

We'd also like to thank the Sheffield City Trust - Ponds Forge team, especially Emanuel Minea and Charlotte Rogerson who have helped the club out no end, but have also been generous and thoughtful towards the entire club. Not to forget all other staff members at ponds forge for their help.

Sheffield's Special Stars wouldn't be the same without our wonderful coaches Steele, Nathan, Oliver and our new coach who is starting in September, 'Evie'. Thank you from all of us for your time and support.

One last thank you is for this years photography Keira Mawbey for providing us with the photos for the awards.

Look forward to seeing you all back in September and enjoy your summer break.
