Okay... I know it's not Yule time yet. 😂🎄

But when I spotted the Seasons of the Witch: Yule Oracle, I simply couldn't resist adding it to the shop!

The Seasons of the Witch series is incredibly popular, and having seen this deck, I can absolutely understand why. There is something beautifully atmospheric about the artwork and the way each deck in the series captures the spirit of its particular season or Sabbat. ✨

And this one is all about Yule! 🌲🕯️❄️

🧵🍎 NEW THREADCRAFT VIDEO! 🍎🧵

I had a plan.

A lovely, sensible, carefully written-down plan.

Orange swirl. Green leaf. Gold flowers. Apple centre.

This was going to be my new Mabon Goddess design.
..and then I got distracted by green thread. 😂

Before I knew it, I was embroidering **GREEN SWIRLS** instead.

Whoops.

But instead of scrapping them, I decided to embrace the mistake and see where it took me.

The result? A whole load of colour experimenting, some unexpected Goddess designs, finally figuring out the autumnal shades I wanted AND remembering to actually WRITE THE THREAD COLOURS DOWN this time. 😂

And after all that experimenting, I finally created three proper Mabon Goddesses using the design I originally had in my head.

🍂🎃 NEW EXPERIMENT: Sabbat Goddesses & Gods 🎃🍂

I’ve been experimenting with something a little different in the sewing room...

Introducing my new Sabbat Goddess & God designs! 🖤✨

You may have seen my handmade Goddess figures before, but this time I wanted to create something specifically connected to the Wheel of the Year.

Traditionally, my Goddess designs feature a swirling pattern across the abdomen. For these new Sabbat versions, I'm replacing that central design with a symbol representing each individual Sabbat.

And the God gets a matching treatment—with the same felt and thread colour palette, but featuring his iconic sun at the centre. ☀️

🌑 First experiment: SAMHAIN 🌑

For this first pair, I've gone for those deep, autumnal Samhain colours:

👑 Samhain Goddess – £8
🖤 Black felt
🌿 Dark green swirls across the chest
🎃 A pumpkin symbol at the centre
💜 Purple flowers
🍂 Brown & yellow autumnal leaves

☀️ Samhain God – £7
🖤 Black felt
🍂 Brown & yellow leafage
🌰 Purple-toned acorns
🧡 A bright orange sun at the centre

NOTE: price will change after 18th September: Goddess = £10 and god £10. A bundle price will be available soon.

And here's something important about these new designs:

The pairs will be made as shown.

Unlike my usual Goddess figures, where I can change colours and combinations, these Sabbat Goddess & God pairs are designed as specific seasonal designs. The intention is that each Sabbat has its own recognisable colours, symbols and imagery.

Samhain gets pumpkins, autumn leaves, acorns and those gorgeous darker colours...

So now I'm already thinking about what Yule, Imbolc, Ostara, Beltane, Litha, Lughnasadh and Mabon might look like! 🌙🌿🔥☀️🍂

This is very much an experiment, and I'd love to know what you think!

✨THE BEAST IS FINALLY REVEALED!✨

After 13 hours... over 3 days...

I can finally reveal the beast I've been working on. 😅

But what exactly is it?

🔮 A Tarot Mat?
🕯️ An Altar Mat?
🎨 An art piece?

Honestly... I don't know! 😂

What I do know is that this project has been a bit of an eye-opener.

13 hours of designing, preparing, stitching and finishing has really made me stop and think about just how much work goes into the handmade pieces I create — both from myself and Mabel, my trusty embroidery machine. 🧵🖤

And that has led to a rather important realisation...

💷 I need to rethink my pricing.

I've always tried to keep my handmade items affordable, but projects like this have made me realise that I need to make sure I'm properly accounting for the time, materials, creativity and work that goes into every single piece.

So yes... some prices are going to be changing.

Not because I've suddenly decided to charge more for the sake of it, but because I'm learning more about my own business, the value of my time, and what it actually takes to make these things.

I've got some numbers to crunch...

So watch this space! 👀😅

I may have fallen a little bit in love with this deck. 😍🌿

The Hedgewitch Oracle by Kate Forsyth is one of those decks that arrived in the shop and immediately made me think...

"...I might need to keep one of these for myself." 😂

✨🌿 A brand new Market Magic is LIVE! 🌿✨

This time we're heading to BUXTON for my first-ever weekend with White Light Events!

I had my usual single retail table and separate reader space... but Sunday got BUSY. 😅

In fact, I ended up back-to-back with readings, which was amazing — although by the end of the day I was definitely feeling it!

I've included some footage of the event and all the lovely stalls, but there's one little problem...

📹 Most of my filming was done BEFORE opening!

Once the doors opened, I was far too busy actually trading to wander around with my camera. 😂

So I've borrowed a short clip from White Light Events' Facebook footage showing the busy Saturday afternoon and pictures from Sunday, because it gives you a much better idea of what the event was actually like once the crowds arrived.

And honestly? I think I'm going to start doing this more often. Sometimes Market Magic needs a little help from the organisers! 🧙‍♀️
