Morning on this lovely sunny day🌞🌞. Today I’m talking about resistance training. Ladies pre menopause it’s really important to get your resistance training in now to preserve the muscle you have as it gets harder going through menopause. Resistance training should be the foundation of your fitness programme and you also need to train for some aerobic fitness which your BYB class provides. It’s a guarantee that women will lose muscle mass during menopause that’s why we need to fight this with resistance training. The principle is to lift heavy enough weight to near failure on each set. You can build muscle at any age, but it is a fact that women going through menopause it’s harder and varies from woman to woman as we are losing estrogen and going through hormonal changes. So ladies try and push yourself that little bit harder and make sure to get your protein in and maybe book an extra session. Have a great day! 💪😁💪😁
