NO dancing at Stocksbridge next week.
There will be a lesson on the 4th but then No dancing on the 7th August for my holidays for 2 weeks.
Dancing will be back 21st August!

J’s School of Dance will celebrate 10 years on the 7th June.
It’s been a rollercoaster of life in the dance world but far more highs than lows.
I’ve met some amazing people and learned a lot and continue to grow and learn.
Hopefully we can have a social kind of night in the studio on Tuesday 9th.
Past and present dancers are more than welcome to drop in and say hello and have a catch up!
Let’s celebrate in style!

Some really good ones here!!! 👏…

⭐️Listen to the music properly.
Not just counting…actually hear it. Let the beat drive your movement rather than guessing where it should be.

⭐️Don’t over dance.
Less is often more. Clean, controlled, well executed movement will always look better than throwing everything at it and losing quality.

⭐️Use the floor wisely.
Give yourself space. If you stand well back and think ahead, judges can see you clearly and you avoid unnecessary collisions.

⭐️Confidence shows.
Even if you’re not feeling it, look like you are. Strong presentation and performance skills goes a long way.

⭐️Act the dance.
It’s not just steps. Show the character, match the style, and make it feel like a performance rather than a routine.
