Three teams on a Saturday, Midweek, Sunday, Junior and Evergreen sides. 1st XI play in Hampshire County 2 and were div 3b champions in 2025

A BIG congratulations to our U11’s this weekend as Sunday saw them win their first game of the season!

Shoutouts for the batting go to N. Maidment 34 not out and A. Bright 12 rtno.

Results from Saturday 13th games.

The first XI travelled away to St Cross to face their 3rd team. Captain B. White lost the toss and St Cross III elected to bat. The wickets fell quick and fast for St Cross with M. Lambourne keeping his league title of Top Wicket Taker with 3/25, a BIG welcome back to H. Moore after a short stint away due to injury with 3/24 and becoming a permanent fixture in the 1st XI M. Manning proving that practice does indeed make perfect with 2/18.

After a tasty tea the boys were ready to bat with a time crunch of a 7pm boat. The General started early doors with G. Niemiec getting a sensational 51 not out, with T. Quaife moving up the batting order at 4 and showing the St Cross boys why he's called quickfire Qauife with 37 runs and Captain B. White getting 22 runs.

Shanklin & Godshill CC 1st XI won by 5 wickets - missed the 7pm boat but was so worth the wait.

The Second XI were at home against the feared Wight Whizzers, but fear not because with N. Moore at the wheel getting 29 runs and our promising U18 player O. Maidment taking the run lead with 33 runs the team were in a good position going into the second innings.
The wickets fell think and fast with C. Wray claiming 3/25 and N. Mew claiming 2/16 the Second XI claim their second win of the cricket season matching the 1st XI win rate.

Unfortunately, the Third XI had to concede due to being unable to raise a team.

We go again next Saturday with only 1 fixture - DERBY DAY for Shanklin and Godshill I v Ventnor II.

1st XI are away at St Cross Symondians in Wi******er starting at 1pm.
2nd XI are playing at the home of cricket Shanklin and Godshill CC, Westhill Road at 1pm against the Wight Whizzers.
