Dash and Splash This beautiful area has the largest bay on the island which, at low tide, offers a unique run along the hard sand.

This years Dash and Splash is Sunday 19th July - 9am registrations are now open

Join us for our second 5 kilometre dash along the beach of beautiful Sandown Bay on the Isle of Wight, with the occasional splash around the some of the beach groy

nes. The run starts at the old Shanklin pier head, and dashes along the beach, under Sandown pier, to finish at Yaverland opposite the Yacht Club. There are 43 groynes in total to negotiate along the 5 kilometre run, most of which are a straight run through large gaps in the structures. The remainder 14 will be splashed around which at low tide will be mostly ankle deep water. Two groynes will be knee deep for a short distance which should cool you off! All entrant fees and money raised will be donated to the Island Charity Aspire, Ryde. Start Location;- Shanklin Esplanade Pier Head – Google maps: 50.629308, -1.172146

Online registration are closed now - Tomorrow on the day registration is from 8am and start is 9am - we have a minibus that will take your bags - keys - children to the finish and bring you back to the start.

Have a great run/walk it’s all a bit of fun and raising money for Aspire Ryde so thank you so much, money raised will make such a difference.
