So their have been many studies showing the correlation to living a long and healthy life with grip strength and leg strength… so make sure your getting some strength training in for both your legs and your hands.. and his is one is my go to exercises for exactly that.

I have always been interested in how children move and have the ability to lift heavy things relative to their own weight or jump of things that as an adult would be very demanding… looking at how we learn to move and develop you could say the idea of “chunky” works really well. In this graphic you can see the individual components of movement slowly being added to better forming progressively more complex movement patterns. This is why it’s important children don’t miss/ skip any steps. It will effect their development both physically but also mentally and require retraining later in life… just something to consider with your own children or training. 👍

This was our first session ever lifting weights 🏋️‍♀️ learning the basics of the Olympic movements. My job as a coach is to have a clear - explanation and demonstration so the clients can then attempt replication… I then try to take complex exercises and use the least possible cues for the indervidial to have to correct amount of info to focus on, based on how they are moving. Here you can see the simple words we used to describe each position within this lift. It’s about slowly adding layers of detail as the lifter develops. As I’m sure you will agree this was an outstanding athlete showing great potential considering this was her first session!! .

Build an unbreakable foundation for what ever your sport, your job or your life. It starts with physical (posture) chemical (food and drink) and emotional/ hormonal (sleep)… so physically start training and developing optimal posture while you stand, while you sit, while you drive, while you work at your desk…. Posture is the sum of all your daily positions make them good positions and build your foundation.
