Thinking about starting karate but not sure what to expect?

Karate can be broken down into the 3 Ks:

👊 Kihon (Basics) - Practicing techniques such as kicks, blocks and punches in isolation.

🥋 Kata (Forms) - Pre-set combinations/patterns of techniques.

🥊 Kumite (Sparring) - Free sparring against an opponent in a safe and controlled environment.

Established in 2004 by Sensei John Dalton, Shaftesbury Karate Club practices the Sh*tō-ryū style of Karate.

Sessions are twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) at Lindlar Hall, Lindlar Cl, Shaftesbury SP7 8PS and are suitable for all experience levels.
