We are super proud, extremely delighted and very humbled that the Sevenoaks Powerchair Football Team won "Team of the Season" for the National Premiership League.

There's no denying that this year was extremely tough for the whole club and in particular the players. And for these 4 amazing people to keep training and playing week in and week out for the season, when they could have so easily given up, is a testament to their drive, determination, loyalty and friendship. And for this to be recognised by their peers is extremely heart warming and humbling.

And to top it off, they managed to retain their position in the National Premiership for next season.

Well done Kyle (our Captain), Jim, Stan and George - you really are brilliant people and those that are sadly no longer with us would be so very very proud of you all. Their legacy lives on thanks to you...

OPEN TRIALS DAY

Sevenoaks Powerchair Football Club (SPFC) are pleased to announce that this summer we are holding an open trials day.

For anyone who may be interested, we have the opportunity to join either our National League Team playing their matches in Nottingham, or one of our Regional Teams, playing in the South East Regional League.

Anyone who may be interested in joining SPFC for next season, please could you email the club directly as to your intention to trial and ideally for which team you'd like to trial for.

Closing date for expression of interest is Sat 18th July and the trial will be held on Sun 26th July.

Confirmation of the timings for the trial day will be emailed prior to the event, but please make yourself available between 12:30 to 3:30pm

We are a friendly and very family orientated club - with a track record of player development - and are looking for like-minded individuals who want to enjoy the Powerchair Footballing journey with us.

Spaces are limited.

Sunday was a happier outcome for many at Sevenoaks PFC as we competed in the final round of fixtures in the 2025/26 South East Powerchair Football League.

In Division 1 we came from a goal down to beat Norwich 2-1 (Shippey x2) before finishing with a 3-0 defeat to league winners Aspire, ending up on second place.

George Shippey claimed two brilliant personal accolades, winning the Division 1 Player of the Season award, and, Top Goalscorer award after finishing on 20 league goals! Huge congratulations to George for a remarkable season.

The team were also awarded the Division 1 Fair Play award after completing what has been an incredibly tough season, with continued distinction.

In Division 2, we celebrated winning the Division 2 league title, for the second season in a row!! 🏆🏆

We beat Crystal Palace 2-1 before rounding off the season with a 3-0 win against Greenwich PFC - completing an invincibles season, winning all 10 of our games!

As well as collecting the league title, Harry Barnley was awarded the Division 2 Player of the Season trophy!

The team will now move up into Division 1 next season to compete against the regions best players, further challenging them and their aims to be amongst the best players in the south east.

Saturday's John Good Group WFA Cup Quarter Final game ended in a 3-0 loss against Teesside PFC - who went on to win the trophy courtesy of a 5-0 win against Newcastle United Foundation.

Congratulations to Teesside Powerchair Football Club on being the inaugural winners of the John Good Group WFA Cup!

Today, Sevenoaks travel to Derby Arena for the first time to participate in the quarter finals of The John Good Group WFA Cup.

Having not gone further than round 3 since 2018, Oaks will be keen to savour the feeling of playing at Derby Arena, albeit against a tough opponent in Teesside PFC, who will no doubt have aspirations of winning the trophy. However, Oaks will be in high spirits following their heroics from the last weekend of the season last month.

We wish the squad the best of luck today. All games can be watched as ever, via The WFA Youtube channel.
