We are back! New season, new passion! 💜🏑🤩

✨We return with an incredible coaching lineup, fresh opportunities, and a quality focus on player development and progression towards team success.

Sevenoaks is all about building on skills towards player ambitions, creating lifelong friendships and memories whilst having fun along the way doing what we love.

This year, we are delighted to offer a fantastic variety of training, fixtures and competitions and aiming even higher to build on last season’s amazing success which will support our juniors into senior hockey.

We can’t wait to welcome our community back - both our returning players and all the new faces joining the Sevenoaks family. 💜🏑🤩

🤩 A massive congratulations to Emilie, Isla, Olivia, and Ruby, who represented Kent at the U15 National County Championships following their South Area County League win this season. 👏

🏑 It was a highly competitive weekend of hockey, featuring matches against Guernsey and North Wales, as well as tough local battles against Surrey, Hampshire, and London.

The squad put in a fantastic performance to earn a well-deserved place on the podium 🥉

🤩 Congratulations to GU13 players Betsy, Charlotte, Cora (GU12), Rosie, and Sadhbh on their selection for South Saxons and West Panthers for the 2025/26 season.

🏆 It was a very competitive ten-team Championship tournament in Nottingham, with teams competing not only from England but also from Wales and Ulster. Congratulations to South Saxons on securing the 🥇 and to West Panthers for their 4th place finish. 👏

🌟 A special mention to Betsy and Sadhbh who have been selected to represent the GU14 UK Lions in the 2026/27 season. 👏

🤩 Congratulations to the BU12 squad who won the Hockey 5s Tournament at Marlow! 🥇

Hockey 5s is a brilliant format - the pace of indoor with outdoor skills. With temps hitting 31 degrees the boys played six 9-minute games and were undefeated all day, even beating the current BU12 Nationals champions, Hertford (5-3) in their final match! Well done team! 👏

IN MEMORIAM - Clive Bick

We were deeply saddened to hear of the death of Clive Bick who passed away earlier this month.

Clive was an extremely gifted sportsman, with many talents including hockey, skiing and golf, and he always lived life to the full. On the hockey pitch, he was a fine player and captained the Sevenoaks side which famously won a league and Kent Cup double in 1985. Subsequently, he was also a successful manager of the Sevenoaks 1st XI and continued to enjoy life off the pitch.

In later years, he became interested in self-sufficiency and retired to a smallholding in Sussex. Clive will be sadly missed, and our thoughts and sympathies are with his family at this sad time.

Funeral Arrangements:
11.30am on 13 July at Kent and Sussex Crematorium followed by a wake at The George in Frant.
For catering purposes, please inform the family if you wish to attend.

🤩 Congratulations to BU13 players Jacob, Josh, Lucas and Rory who were selected to play for the Saxons and South Saxons squads representing SE England in the Regional Lions tournament in Nottingham this weekend. A great achievement attaining 🥈 and 🥉 place respectively.

👏 Congratulations also goes to Josh who opened his first match with a hat-trick, and was also selected to be a UK lion for the 2026/27 season!

Well done everyone and best of luck to Josh!

🎉 BIG NEWS AT SEVENOAKS HC! 🎉

We are delighted to welcome Theo Dowse as our new Men's 1XI Head Coach ahead of the 2026/27 season!

Theo arrives with an outstanding coaching record, most recently leading East Grinstead Women's 1XI in the England Hockey Premier Division – guiding them to the Premier Division title, three Indoor Premier Division titles, and bronze at the EuroHockey Indoor Cup earlier this year - the highest English club ranking in 27 years. He also led his side to fifth place at the EuroHockey League Outdoor Final 8 in 2024.

On joining the club, Theo said:
“Sevenoaks is about far more than success on the pitch. The strong family values, sense of community, and genuine commitment to developing players at every level align closely with my own coaching philosophy. There is a proud history here and an exciting future ahead – I cannot wait to get started."
