2nd place for me UKDFBA Novice Bodybuilding.

Super chuffed with the result. I felt like I held up against everyone in my class. Last time I lacked proportions and was weak on a few poses, mainly front relaxed, thighs and abs and most muscular.
Even still hitting them I feel a strong sense of imposter syndrome but looking back happy with how I presented them. Posing with CHRISTIAN_JAMES_CJ has definitely helped showcase my strengths and hide some weaknesses. He’s hard as nails during posing and brutally honestly but it all comes from love for the sport.

As mentioned last week, this wasn’t ever going to be my best. Had a upwards hill battle this entire prep and then getting ill peak week but IFBB PRO || CLASSIC PHYSIQUE 🌐 has changed the game plan and gone with the punches and made the right decisions along the way. Stopping me from competing in August for BNBF or pushing it too hard to come in lighter, leaner and potentially just skinnier for this show. We originally called it and both said no to even doing this show and having a wobble start of August. He told me to chill and just carry on as plan. Again his tough love and no bull s**t approach keeps me grounded and confident he’ll bring the best.

Having to do a regional for the main international Natural Bodybuilding Worldwide show in October, we jumped in anyways to test the peak, have some fun and qualify with plenty of time to bring the shreds 17th Oct.

This has been just a huge boost in self confidence and given me the energy and belief I need to dig harder than ever to bring my best at the finals.

This has been a team effort and none of this would be possible without the real boss Lilly Fisher doing all the behind the scenes work. This girl works just as hard as me if not harder putting up with my BS. You’re my rock and make this work. 🧡🧡

Next stop WNBF UK NATURAL BODYBUILDING EVENTS Supernaturals 4th October in Luton. Closer to home turf.

Let’s fu***ng goo.

2 days out from the 1st show of the season.

Peak week will test your soul. Have honestly never felt this wrecked. Catching a cold & sinus infection mid week has made everything that much harder, trying not to stress but as you pull food and dig and all you see is the look getting worse it’s hard af not to worry a tad. Bloody typical.

Last depletion session going in today, a brisk arm pump will be all. Then legs up until show day.

Let’s pray the body fights this off and inflammation calms down come show day. Under no illusion I’m not “peeled” yet, will be coming into this first show at 85% with the intention of qualifying for the NBW and improving over the next 6 weeks to bring my best then.

Not long till we dust off the cobwebs. Plan is to just have fun and gain some confidence on the stage on Sunday. Whatever happens I’m bringing a bigger and leaner package than last time I stepped on and that’s what Bodybuilding is all about.

Getting in shape isn’t just about chasing a lower scale weight. This is only 1 piece of the puzzle.

Here’s a good example. On the left I’m 87.2kg, on the right I’m 86kg 3 weeks apart.

So lighter on the right but in terms of visuals I look bigger, fuller. Granted, on the left I’m flat, no pump and fasted. Right I’ve got a bit of a pump and some food in me. But the look is drastically different considering I’m only 1 kilo lighter.

If you only worry about the scale weight it’s easy to let performance slip and therefore sacrificing muscle along the way. This is bodybuilding, not a dieting or skinny contest.

For 3 weeks I barely saw the scale weight drop, it would have been easy to drop food / kcals and increase cardio. But week by week visuals improved so boss didn’t change the plan at all. We came in looking leaner and harder each week, regardless of what the scale weight said. This is why it’s so important to have a coach as it’s easy to make the wrong decision out of emotion when you’re hungry and tired.

When dieting performance is the key marker, are you eating enough to fuel workouts and recovery? If you’re strength is dropping and recovery is trash there’s a good chance you’re losing all that muscle you worked so hard for. The end result will never be your best package if you constantly seek validation from new lows and emotionally attach yourself to a scale weight drop.

If you want FREE help and advice losing your first 5lbs drop me a DM or comment “Lean”.

Here’s a breakdown of my fitness journey so far.
People look at good physiques, coaches and influencers and think they’ve always been perfect, never have set backs and haven’t made mistakes along the way. I didn’t get serious and even track protein till I was 26 whilst still partying.

From battling addictions, mental health, loses, self esteem issues, I’ve turned all that around (mostly) and carried on with what’s in my control. And now help people for a living to make the changes I have. Not every coach is a complete square and most can relate and we’ve all been there at some point.

You don’t have to be perfect. You just need to learn from your mistakes, learn set backs are part of it and stay consistent to bettering yourself day to day. I’m 35 this year and I’m still figuring it all out.

If you’re trapped in a similar cycle and want change reach out in the DM’s.

Swipe for some amazing results > Showcases what hard work and consistency can achieve when you change your mind set and let go. This was all dover over the space of different phases over 18 months being a newbie to the gym.

Phase 1 - Recomposition. Reintroduce good eating habits, daily movement and start learning good form and training intensity. Start getting into a routine with meal timings and sleep (7-8) hours as the first set of nonnegotiable’s to start ticking. The newbie gains are in full force so use these few weeks to work out maintenance calories. Body composition will change if done correctly but weight might stay the same for few weeks or more.

Being leaner and having some more muscle will now put you in a much better spot to start pushing food and muscle. Better insulin sensitivity, better metabolism, better response to MPS.

Phase 2 - Growing phase. Actually the main reason many give up, they’re scared to push food incase they get too fluffy. Most girls especially want that gym look by just dieting and cardio. Guuurl, you need muscle first if you ever want that toned hour glass figure. You need to learn that being uncomfortable, eating that last chicken and potato meal when you’re already full is the only way you’ll grow. What you were eating before clearly wasn’t working so trust the process and fuel those glutes. It’s not just about pushing scale weight, it’s about recovery. You need glycogen just like you need protein to grow. And upping your carbs does not just mean more toast and croissants. We want nutrient dense carbs. Potato, sweet potato, yams, quinos, oats, butternut squash, more potato.
Micro nutrients are also just important.

Phase 3 - We pre prep. We diet down non aggressively but keeping food as high a possible, carbs as high as we can and chase maintaining performance.

Phase 4 - The prep. If phase 1 2 and 3 are done correctly you’re now in a good spot to diet down, maintaining high metabolism, high food, high energy and actually perform and maintain muscle and strength.

If you want to take your physique to a new place you need to be willing to do things you never have before.

Amazing results for one of my clients.

This was all done through weights, steps and managing food, whilst keeping cheat meals and occasional alcohol. 0 cardio in the gym!

Getting shape doesn’t have to be a gruelling process if you stick to a plan and stay consistent over time.

You can still enjoy your summer and get in amazing shape 🌞💪

Judges/ coaches feed back last prep was more lats, more width, more thickness.

I think we’ve definitely improved and worked on bringing up weaknesses.

I took it on the chin and have spent 2.5 years improving on what coach/ judges asked for.

Excited for the package I’m bringing this time round.
This time I will be peeled 🔪
