Oakfield Warriors have capped off an outstanding season by finishing at the top of the KCL Division 8 table and securing the title for 2025.

The Warriors will now compete in Division 7 for the upcoming 2026 season.

What a brilliant display from Oakfield CC. "The harder the battle, the sweeter the victory." To play against the 2nd placed team in the division and show the complete dominance speaks volumes about the team. Well done, lads 👏.

According to Oakfield standards, 131 was a low scoring game. Like the captain pointed out, each run had to fought hard. We didn't make it easy for any batsman out there. This thrilling battle between bat and ball is what makes the game interesting, and fanatics like us hooked to the game.

On the batting front, we had an excellent display of batting from Sunil at the top. His counterattack when we had lost 4 wickets brought us the momentum back in the scoring. Naren and Nirav were excellent with their batting to absorb the pressure and present a solid defence and build a crucial last wicket partnership.

The standout batsman was Santosh. What a brilliant performance from the southpaw of Oakfield. He delivered some exhilarating punches. The grace in his shots and presenting full face of the bat was a treat to watch. Well played, mate 👏.

On the bowling, it was pace and swing that packed the punch. Sunil came back with another brilliant performance against Southfleet. He was so tight on his line and length and hardly gave anything away. 8 overs and 10 runs is really mean and backed the spell with 3 wickets, Naren supported brilliantly with his tight spell of 9 overs for only 17 run. Harish with his wily swing was a swing machine. We ran out of wickets to bowl. otherwise, Harish would have secured another fifer 💪.

The standout bowler was *Smibin*. The captain led from the front when the chips were down. He delivered a brilliant spell. That delivery that bowled their opening batsman was a peach of delivery. The one to be treasured for the season. Fiery pace bowling from Smibin. Wonderful display, mate 👏.

Last but not least, It was really nice of *Anand* to stand as umpire. Standing there for 70 odd overs is not easy. In spite of his leg injury, he stood as an umpire. Thanks buddy that just demonstrates your commitment to the team 👏

Well done on another emphatic win. Bromley Common CC was a beautiful ground. Oakfield continued with its victory run and positioned itself as leader of the Division. It was a clinical performance by the team.

On the batting front, some excellent display of stroke making and elegant drives from our batsman. Good contributions from Prateek, Arvindh and Arun Sr. That loft drive by Prateek towards top-end still stays in my head.

The standout batsman was *Shankar* and *Smibin*. Even when the top order and middle order were down, Smibin continued with his onslaught. Well played.

I have to write separate para for Shankar. What an amazing transformation from the opening friendly game, mate. You are providing great support to the lower order. Shankar remained not out, scoring a quickfire 33. Well played Shankar 🫡.

On the bowling front, it was a disciplined bowling from our bowlers. Good line and length. Opposition were waiting to punish the bad balls, and they didn't get many.

Excellent bowling from Sunil, Smibin and Alex. Pretty tight line and length.

Naren delivered a spell of remarkable discipline, sending down nine consecutive overs with unwavering accuracy. His relentless control of length stifled the openers, cutting off scoring opportunities and steadily tightening the screws on the batting side.

The standout bowler was Harish Mohan. Amazing line and length buddy. Congratulations on your fifer 🙌. Your immaculate line and length were well rewarded.

Well done team on another emphatic victory. Oakfield continues to be the table topper.

On the batting front, excellent performance by Arvind, Smibin and Shankar.

But the stand out innings was Santosh. Wonderful display of stroke making by Santosh. He was raring to go and was getting the starts but really glad he scored his half century of the season. Well done Santosh 👏

On the bowling front, some excellent display of bowling by Sunil, Arvind and Harish.

Standout bowler was Smibin. He came into the attack and cleaned up the opposition's set batsman. It was lovely to see him get back to his rhythm. Wonderful bowling Smibin.

Well done, OWCC.. What a brilliant response with bat. It was a rain interrupted game, slow pitch, and uneven bounce. All the bowlers bowled well to restrict the opposition to 190 runs on this track.

Batting stood out in this game. Our batsman are peaking at the right time. Stand out was the partnership between Gaurav and Sunil to chase down the target within 38 overs.

Overall, it was a great outing for Oakfield Warriors.
