New series starting today: the bikes our staff ride. To kick things off, we asked Will Scholey to share his set-up…

My bike is a Cube LITENING AERO C:68X RACE Blackline 52cm

I have it set up with a SHIMANO Ultegra Di2 groupset and braking system. For my crankset, I use an Ultegra Hollowtech II, 52x36T, fitted with a 4iiii Precision 3+ Dual-sided power meter on 165mm cranks. My cassette is a 12-speed 11-34T.

For pedals, I am using the Wahoo Speedplays.

The wheelset I run is the Newmen Streem A.49 & A.54 wheels, both tubeless with 28mm Continental GP5000 S-TR tyres.

Finally, I have the Prologo Nago R4 PAS saddle recommended for me by those at Insync bike fitting. Russell Gordon | Professional Bike Fitter | Cycling Coach

Will also has a Cube Cross Race for cyclocross, but we’ll talk about his set up for the 3 Peaks Cyclocross closer to the time.

We're hiring a Café Assistant at 3 Peaks Cycles in Settle. ☕
The role: Part-time, 24 hours a week. Looking after customers, making coffee, prepping and serving food, keeping the café running smoothly, and working alongside a small, friendly team.

Who we're after: Someone reliable, warm with customers, and happy in a busy café. Previous hospitality experience is useful but not essential. What matters more is a good attitude, a willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in food and coffee. You'll need to be able to work weekends and school holidays when things get busy.

What we offer: A friendly team, training as you go, flexible hours, and a staff discount in the shop.

To apply: Send your CV and a short cover letter to [email protected], or drop in and hand it to us in person.

Please share this with anyone you think might be a good fit. 👉

🌞🚴‍♂️The weather forecast’s great this week… so a routes post feels overdue. Three from the shop that are worth your time this week.

1. Malham is the shortest of the three. A stiff climb out of Settle wakes the legs up early, then a tough climb past the Cove once you’re through Malham village. Continue round past Malham Tarn and finish with the descent into Langcliffe, and back to the 3 Peaks café for lunch.

2. Something bigger: up to Ribblehead via Horton, get the obligatory viaduct photo, and grab a drink at the Station Inn before pointing yourself towards Ingleton. From there it’s along the old road to Clapham, through to Austwick, and down Stackhouse Lane to finish.

3. For a full day out, aim for Hawes. Head to Stainforth and then over to Halton Gill, make your way round to Fleet Moss… the highest road in the Yorkshire Dales, and it feels like it. A café stop in Hawes to gather yourself, then back over Newby Head, past Ribblehead and back to Settle. A great day out!

Pop in if you want any of these drawn on a map before you set off.
