CLASS OF 2026 ⚡️
Last night we celebrated a fantastic summer.
Our team this year has been incredible and you have all made our season even more fun. Small waves have blessed our shores this year but the stoke and smiles have kept us going. I’m so incredibly proud of this lot and look forward to an autumn of more of the same.

MEET THE TEAM - BETH
Beth joined our team a few years ago when she volunteered for the The Wave Project sessions we run in spring and autumn. Her ability to help young people improve their lives and her organisational prowess, made it easy to pull her into the fold as our office manager 3-4 days a week.
Her colour coded rota, spreadsheets and highlighters have helped our finely tuned team reach even dizzier heights.

Beth is a school teacher and will leave us in September when she takes up her role as maths teacher at Humphry Davy School
We hope each summer she can spare a few days to keep us in check.

MEET THE TEAM- GEORGE
He’s back. Not for long and not forever but home this summer and very much a part of our magic team.
George is an incredible surf coach. One of the best we’ve ever had. George started with us as a young cadet. I’m remember his first duck dive, his first green wave and the first time he claimed a barrel! Haha
Since then George has become one of the country’s best surfers and competed in Europe.
George has spent the last few years in Australia working as a surf coach and will return there again in September.

George offers a calm head, experience and quality. He is very much loved and we hold a special place in our hearts for George. Could be more proud of him and always grateful to see him wear his pink rashie

MEET THE TEAM - HARRY
‘Wasson croissant!’ Harry’s morning welcome to the team as he passes the cafe, sausage roll in hand.
Harry (younger brother of G E O R G E C A R P E N T E R ) started his journey with us as a cadet when he was 7. Growing up with the surf school in the background, Harry found his way into the team. Harry is fab. His contagious laugh, sunny disposition and general good vibes make him a natural surf coach and a great person to be around.
Harry spent the winter coaching in New Zealand and plans to travel again this winter.
If you surf with Harry this summer you will love it.

MEET THE TEAM - JACKSON
The man the myth the legend.
Few words could describe what Jackson means to us at the surf school. Honest, dependable, funny and professional. 2026 is Jackson’s 16th summer at the school and he’s seen it all. Witnessed many incarnations of the school and survived several strong teams since he started in 2010. Jackson is our senior Grom. The first to put his suit on, the last to take it off and always keen to drill sand into his hair on a shore break. Building Logs by Jackson Higginbottom and managing summers each year, jackson is in the fabric of Sennen.

Jackson is a doting father of twins and we are so proud of the bloke he is today.
Here’s to Jackson and all he’s done for us.

MEET THE TEAM - TOBIAS
Tobes started at the surf school when he was 5. A cute, quiet yet confident kid who never missed a Saturday surf club. He would arrive early and hang out long after the session finished. Almost handing himself a job at the surf school Toby completed work experience when he was 15 and proved he had earnt himself the pink rash vest.
So nearly 15 years after he first caught a wave Toby is now one of our senior instructors and is smashing it. His razor whit, endless charm and million dollar smile brightens up our day every morning. We are super lucky to have Toby in our team and although he spreads his time between the Minack Theatre | Cornwall’s Iconic Outdoor Theatre and the surf school we know he’s here for a good while longer. Nice one Tobes. You are class x
