Three places left on my Navigation Day in aid of Ukraine - I’m running another introduction to Navigation Day on Sunday the 13th of April. This will be based in Selkirk in the Scottish Borders.
This is priced at £60 per person with a maximum of 6 spaces. All proceeds go to our Ukrainian friends.

I've had some interest in running a basic navigation course on Saturday the 18th of December. If your keen to learn the basics, or refresh your memory on the principles of Mountain Navigation then please get in touch. The course is designed to allow a simple but effective approach based on easy to remember principles. If your interested please get in touch. Hi All,

With winter coming up I have scheduled an Advanced Navigation Course for Saturday the 4th of December. I intend starting around 1pm and running the course into darkness with a finishing time around 7pm. The first few hours will allow us recap on skills already learnt and then when it becomes dark we put these skills into practice. The emphasis, like before is the 4 ''D''s - Direction / Distance / Description / Destination.

When in the dark these strategies allow us navigate efficiently and accurately by adding other methods such as timing and pacing.
