The Ladies have had a busy spell over the last few weeks, competing for no less than 3 trophies and managing a mini break to Drumoig.

First up was the D.A.Heard Cup, where a new name will be etched on this year, as Zoe Summers romped round recording an excellent net 66. Nadine McVie, who is continuing her early form was second with a net 69.

Next up 12 Ladies ventured to Drumoig for a hugely enjoyable weekend. The golf consisted of a stableford each day, Diane Cassidy was victorious on Day 1, with Maureen Mathison triumphant on Day 2. Trip organiser,Marjorie Rae was the bridesmaid on both days. Although some good golf was played the weekend was enjoyed most for fun and friendship.

"Beware the injured golfer". This was certainly true as Alison Rutherford took the honours to win the Elsie Wilson Trophy with a tidy Net 71. This was no mean feat after injuring her hamstring whilst playing tennis 2 weeks before, and was expecting to be out for a good few weeks. A triumphant return. Diane Cassidy was runner up.
Two extremely lucky ladies, namely Anne Allan + Carol Purves recorded 2's which had been a rollover going back to last September. Needless to say Securicor was required to get them home.

The Ladies try to raise their game when the playing of the Ev Rafferty Trophy comes around.
Still greatly missed by all, it was extremely fitting and very emotional when Lorraine Tait, one of Ev's closest friends, produced a swashbuckling round of net 64 to leave everyone in no doubt the Trophy was going home with her. Yet again Nadine McVie came closest with a net 68.

Huge thank you to MKM for donating golf balls to our junior coaching groups. These sessions have been well supported and donations like these are very much appreciated. 👍🏻

On the most perfect night for golf, the most perfect score was being created.
With a good turnout all vying for the most beautiful trophy, in the shape of the Margo Lawson Trophy, Selkirk Ladies young upcoming golfer, Lily Jackson, left all in her wake shooting an amazing Nett 58. This meant that Lily saw her handicap pruned to 21, with certainly more pruning to come over the season. Ros Roxburgh was runner up with a Nett 70. No 2's were recorded so there is a bumper rollover to play for this week.

The Ladies certainly got their season off to a great start with a superb turnout of 15 ladies playing in the 9 hole stableford. Showing early signs of form was Kirsten McAllister, who won with an excellent score of 22 points. Runner up was Nadine McVie showing great promise with 19 points. The Ladies then retired to The Fleece for a very tasty bar meal.

The first full 18 hole competition comprised of a stableford format, along with a bitterly cold wind. This, however didn't deter the ladies, with another good turnout of 14 playing. Nadine McVie went one better than the previous week, this time taking the honours with an excellent 36 points pushing veteran Martine Pow into second on 34 points.

On a chilly, windy Thursday the first Ladies Medal took place. The bookies favourite, Nadine McVie, continued to impress making it 3 out of 3 in the winners enclosure with a net 75, Maureen Mathieson being the unlucky golfer to be beat on the bih. However, great to see Maureen in the prizes. The Ladies would like to extend their thanks to Caddon Design for sponsoring their April Medal.
