We call them heart openers, those asanas that open the upper/mid spine and shoulders. The physical shape, the scaffolding around our loving centre.
The real transformation happens when we treat Love not as a fleeting emotion, but as a deliberate verb. An active tool for transcendence. In the tradition of Bhakti Yoga, love is the ultimate path. It is the practice of turning devotion outward and inward until the boundaries blur.
When we struggle to find a name for the infinite, the divine, or the universe, we can simply transcribe the noun God into the noun Love. They are synonymous.
When we shift our perspective to view the world through this lens, everything changes:
🌀Anger dissolves into a request for healing.
🌀Fear softens into awareness.
🌀Judgment turns into a mirror for self-reflection.
The next time you find yourself at a crossroads—whether in a challenging posture, a tense conversation, or a moment of deep uncertainty—pause. Drop out of the analytical mind and into the open space of the chest.
Ask yourself the ultimate Bhakti mantra:
“What would Love do now?”
And then, have the courage to do it. 🤍
