We call them heart openers, those asanas that open the upper/mid spine and shoulders. The physical shape, the scaffolding around our loving centre.

The real transformation happens when we treat Love not as a fleeting emotion, but as a deliberate verb. An active tool for transcendence. In the tradition of Bhakti Yoga, love is the ultimate path. It is the practice of turning devotion outward and inward until the boundaries blur.

When we struggle to find a name for the infinite, the divine, or the universe, we can simply transcribe the noun God into the noun Love. They are synonymous.

When we shift our perspective to view the world through this lens, everything changes:
🌀Anger dissolves into a request for healing.
🌀Fear softens into awareness.
🌀Judgment turns into a mirror for self-reflection.

The next time you find yourself at a crossroads—whether in a challenging posture, a tense conversation, or a moment of deep uncertainty—pause. Drop out of the analytical mind and into the open space of the chest.

Ask yourself the ultimate Bhakti mantra:

“What would Love do now?”

And then, have the courage to do it. 🤍

Yoga meditation begins with the beautiful practice of noticing.

We notice what happens when we are called to sit quietly.

We notice, without judgement, what happens when we are invited to concentrate on something; maybe breath, perhaps a sound or a sensation.

We notice when the busy mind is distracted.

And from time to time we notice when some of the inner voices become quieter & we become absorbed in the simple yet ridiculously hard invitation to stay present.

And why? Well my lovelies, in a world where your attention is the greatest currency, reclaiming your capacity to focus is a beautiful act of rebellion. It reduces stress and gives you a sense of spaciousness. It adjusts your relationship with time.

If I only have time for one yoga practice, I choose this every time.

Want to be guided in your sitting practice? There are numerous recorded sessions on my Patreon site. Comment SITTING below and I’ll forward you the link.

My personal yoga practice is so much more than a workout.

My yoga is way more than some well-being bolt on.

My yoga is more than just a conditioning programme.

And whilst in a diluted fashion it will tick the above boxes, if we allow ourselves only to be served a convenient, yet watered down experience, we miss the deeper opportunities of yoga and all its eight limbs affords us.

My practice has been the only sacred sanctuary I could turn to throughout the busy-ness of motherhood, the sadness of grief, the hurt of divorce or the juggling of self-employment. It has been my anchor during menopause and so many more moments when it has felt as though the wheels were falling off in my life. These gateway moments have been navigated and survived because of the clarity and the sanctuary the practices have afforded me.

Join me, either online, in person or on retreat for opportunities to dive really deep into a genuine undiluted yoga experience.

I offer you the retreats I used to crave. Special, awe inspiring places to take a deeper dive into your yoga practice.

I never dilute the teachings. My work, passion & speciality is to make yoga relevant, accessible, supportive & transformational.

So whilst there may be options to do other things like ride your bike or have a ski, primarily the people who enjoy these yoga adventures are yoga folk. It would be enough simply to join us for the yoga teachings themselves.

September - Turkey
October - Spain
