Quick reminder that we'll be holding our 13th Jurassic Blitz Tournament at the Chess Club (at the Seaton Cricket Club Pavilion) on Wednesday 22nd October 2025 at 6.30pm.

This is 6 rounds of quick chess - 7 mins plus 3 seconds increment and is open to all.

It would be great to see you for this fun event - there will be prizes for the winner and grading prizes!

3rd Jurassic Rapidplay

This is a reminder about Seaton Chess Club’s 3rd Jurassic Rapidplay event to be held on Sat 18th October 2025 at Axmouth Village Hall, East Devon.
This will be a 6 round 1-day event with 20 min + 10 sec per player.
The event will start at 10am and run to around 5.30pm and has an estimated total prize fund of over £300!

GRAND OPENING OF THE CHESS CLUB NOW 22nd January 2025

Very happy to announce that Seaton Chess Club will be re-opening for the season.

Note however that due to ongoing issues with the Gateway, we will be reconvening in a new venue for the time being: the Seaton Cricket Club Pavilion.

We are very happy to announce that Seaton Chess Club will be re-opening for season on 8th January 2025!

Note however that due to ongoing issues with the Gateway, we will be reconvening in a new venue for the time being: the Seaton Cricket Club Pavilion.

The address is: Court Lane, Seaton EX12 2AT, less than 10 mins walk from the previous venue.

Hopefully see you all there for a prompt start at 6.30pm!

Just to confirm that the first night of the new season will be on Wed 2nd October 2024 so please try and make it for that first evening so we can welcome the potential new joiners and set the schedule for further meetings.

As always, we will be meeting in the Gateway, Seaton (1st floor on right hand side) ready for a prompt start at 6.30pm.
