A tough day for the 2nd XI as we went down by 46 runs to Boldon CC.

Boldon posted 226/7, with Park replying with 180/9. M Stephenson top-scored with 52, supported by R Wilkinson (42).

🏏 MATCH REPORT | 1st team

A frustrating afternoon at home as the 1st XI suffered a 3-wicket defeat to Boldon CC.

Batting first, we were bowled out for 178 in 49.5 overs. Suraj Singh top-scored with 52, with Myles Price adding 48 and Anthony Watson 25. There were contributions throughout, but ultimately we were left short of a competitive total.

Boldon chased the target, finishing 179/7 to take the points.

A bad loss for us at a crucial stage of the season, and it leaves the league table extremely tight. We now know exactly what we need to do — win our final game of the season to guarantee we avoid relegation.

Time to regroup, put this one behind us and give everything in the final game. 💪
