💙 Welcome to the Colts, Liv! 💙

Liv takes up the #6 shirt and joins us off the back of an incredible weekend, scoring at least 9 goals and playing a huge part in helping the Colts being crowned champions 🏆 !

⚽️ She loved every minute of the tournament, slotted straight in with the girls and showed exactly what she can bring to the team.

⭐️ Liv’s main priorities remain with Durham Women’s FC, while she also represents NCJ on a Sunday, bringing a wealth of experience, talent and versatility to the Colts.

🔥 An exciting player who can excel in any position on the pitch, Liv will be a fantastic addition when other commitments allow to the squad and someone the girls can learn so much from.

🏆 GREETHAM U12s TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS 🏆

What an incredible day for the Colts! 💙⚽️

Playing their first ever 9v9 tournament and stepping up a year, the girls showed fantastic quality, character and togetherness from the first whistle to the final. 🔥

They started brilliantly with a 6-0 win over Coxhoe, before battling to a 1-1 draw with Pools Youth in a very physical contest. 💪

A 4-0 victory over Nunthorpe saw the girls finish top of the group and book a semi-final against Coxhoe, where they produced another 6-0 win to reach the final. 🚀

The final was a completely different challenge. Pools Youth put us under huge pressure in the first half, but the girls defended brilliantly and Isabella made some outstanding saves 🧤👏. Against the run of play, Sofia gave us the lead with a superb finish.

After the break, the girls found another level. The passing improved, confidence grew and Sofia and Liv added further goals to secure a 3-0 victory. 🏆🔥

📊 4 wins | 1 draw | 20 goals | 1 conceded

To step up a year, face some incredibly physical opposition and come away as tournament champions is a fantastic achievement. 👏

Every player contributed, battled for each other and showed exactly what this team can do. 🌟💙

Even better, we’re raising £348 for the girls ⚽💙 — a huge thank you to everyone taking part and helping support the team. 💙

Tonight the girls took on the extra fitness session Chris has decided to put on during pre season.

The session included 200m repeats :-

800m – 90 seconds rest
600m – 60 seconds rest
400m – 30 seconds rest
200m - Finish

Then straight into sprints and change of direction work to finish the main part of the session

Just when they thought they were done they were challenged to one last lap of the whole rec - bowling green included!

The message throughout was simple:

“It’s YOU v YOU.”

Every single one gave maximum effort, and just as importantly, they encouraged and supported each other the whole session. That togetherness is what makes this group so special!

Some girls even brought their siblings along! What a club

Well done lasses.
