THIS SUNDAY 7th December, we travel to Lincoln in the next round of the county cup.

To save the Redbourn faithful driving down, we are in talks for the arrangement of a Bus . The bus will be leaving from The Beckwood on Sunday morning at 8am.

Well well well.

Huge game for Redbourn in the county cup away in Messingham.

Redbourn started off on the front foot with a dominant display first half. The pressure paid off as Kez Atkin lobbed the Sun and Anchor keeper leaving him swatting flies. An offside claim for the goal began the start of a plague of headloss as tensions escalated. This mixed with Redbourne fullbacks easily handling their wingers gave Redbourn a healthy start. Stan continued to pinch and fiddle frustrating their number 7 leading to more bottom lips and moans. Redbourn continued their pressure but couldn’t add to the lead with goal line blocks and missed chances and blatant cheating from the diving linesman.

Second half began and Sun and Anchor applied their own pressure and a powerful header got them level. Despite them drawing level, dummies spat out and tears started. This led to Redbourn gaining the lead again as Kez Atkin rounded their keeper who was too busy picking clegnuts to focus on their game. Shortly after it was 3-1 as a hat trick for Kez finishing powerfully. The quality of Sun and Anchor led to a 3-2 late scare but the game was too far gone. Good game to watch, an insane amount of hangovers. We hope to see you in the challenge cup with all that oil money.

All in all, a good contest throughout and we wish Sun & Anchor the best for the season.

Back to winning ways today for the harps after a game of 2 halfs, which saw us go 2-0 up early on and dominate the first half with plenty of missed chances.

We started the second half very complacent , conceding early and seemingly under pressure for a 15 minute spell until a brilliant finish from Fraiwald put us 3-1 ahead.

All in all 3 points and a sign of things to come , but we have to start being ruthless infront of goal and putting games to bed earlier on.

Disappointing goalless draw today. A Poor first half with not much chances for either sides . A better second half from the harps but we were unable to capitalise on some good chances.

Tyler McGready did well to win a penalty half way through the second half, but that was ultimately saved by the bushy goalkeeper.

Minutes later Baker recieved his second yellow card and was subsequently sent off , leaving us with 10 men for the last 15/20 minutes.

Despite going down to 10 we still enjoyed much of the ball and created several chances but were unable to find the back of the net.

All in all a good point considering the poor first half performance and playing with 10 for the last 20.

On a positive note, 3 clean sheets in 3 games sees us start the season unbeaten.

Comfortable win for the Harps this morning.

Abit over comfortable in the end with a sloppy second 45 minutes, but a good win nevertheless.

7 goals and a clean sheet on GW1. Promising start to the season and most importantly through to the next round of the draw.

MOTM Tyler McGready - oozes class at the back. Great addition to the harps.
