Riddings ABC is the longest established non-profitable amatuer boxing club in Scunthorpe.

£2.50 per session for under 16's & £3.00 for Adults

� squad sessions - Monday and Wednesday 7.15pm until 8.30 pm
Friday 6pm until 7.15 pm
( arrive 15 mins early to go on runs )

� development sessions - Monday and Wednesday 6pm until 7.15pm
Friday 5pm until 6pm

� beginners ( 9-16 year olds ) - Tuesday 5pm until 6pm!! Thursday 6pm until 7pm


� mini hitters - Thursday 5.15pm until 6pm

A massive good luck to our Tom summerland having his last session in the gym tonight before he goes back in the forces 💪

We had a lot going on tonight so didn’t get the send off he deserved , but just wanted to say it’s been an absolute pleasure having you in the gym as loyal as they come ❤️. We have had a brilliant season picking up some great wins along the way sometimes old habits are hard to get rid of so had some tough nights as well but you have took them in your stride 👊

Good luck keep your head down and see you presentation evening 💯🎉

So last night we had 3 of our team out on the Scunthorpe ABC show. Coming away with mixed fortunes. First out we had young Tibi in his second skills bout who boxed brilliantly, listened to his coaches and produced some of the best back hand work around! Take a bow young man.
Next up was Zayn Who was boxing in his second scoring bout, producing some powerful work and picking his shots he gave his opponent two standing 8 counts and won the bout unanimously and goes 2 and 0. Lastly we had Tom in yet another explosive bout against a hard hitting opponent. Tom boxed beautifully in the first giving the lad a standing 8 count and taking the round comfortably. Second round Tom went out and continued the great work, scoring at will until out of desperation the kid stared swinging and unfortunately tagged Tom and the referee stopped the bout which was the right call. Just want to say as a coach we couldn’t be prouder of our team of boxers this season. The gym has been on fire and I believe it is only going to get better as the Team progresses.
Lastly, just want to say a massive Thank You to Ricko Richardson for having us on, it’s a huge pleasure as always boxing on the Scunny show with all great bouts on display 🥊🥊

Great win on the road last night in ripon , took the bout Wednesday morning , already on weight and ready exactly how amateur boxers should be 👏

A few nerves before hand but soon settled in the bout when using his boxing skills is a joy to watch , giving his oppenent a count in the first round , come into the second round eager and smothered his work a little but scored a knockdown , going into the 3rd just needed to box and us his advantage, the opposition corner did the right thing and thrown the towel in 30 seconds into the 3rd round , to give Tom another win on the board !

Well done Tom a great advert for work hard listen to your coaches , stay on weight and be ready an the results will come 🔥👏🥊

🥊 Riddings ABC on the road this evening! 🥊
We kicked things off with Rudi in a skills contest over in Leeds. He’s learning and developing with every session — despite a few recent pull-outs on shows, he got the job done tonight! Great skills, solid defence, and he came out with a big smile on his face, already raring to go for the next one.
Well done Rudi! 👏🥊
Then it was a 5-hour round trip to Wolverhampton on a Friday evening for Mercy in another skills contest. This girl just keeps improving every time she steps out. She takes every opportunity with a huge smile on her face and has the will and desire to keep pushing forward.
We’re now starting to think about that next step for her — moving into scoring contests ready for next season.
