NPCC WHAT A WEEK!🙏🙌
It was a busy and successful week of cricket at the end of May, featuring some fantastic individual efforts and solid team performances across both midweek and weekend fixtures.
Here is a quick recap of how the matches unfolded:
🏏Thursday, 28th May (NLL Midweek League):
The NPCC Mid Week XI secured a hard-fought 4-wicket victory over Outcasts CC Dev XI. After an incredibly tight bowling display that restricted the Outcasts to just 71/6 off their 16 overs, NPCC chased down the target in 15 overs. Standout performances came from Ethan Brough, who took a stunning 2/2 with the ball, and Kumar Gandrothula, who anchored the chase with an unbeaten 25*.
🏏Saturday, 30th May (T20 Cup Mike Savage Cup North 10):
The 1st XI faced a challenging double-header weekend. Despite a tough opening match where BTCC 2nd XI took a 128-run victory (BTCC 169/4 vs NPCC 41), NPCC showed massive character to dust themselves off and bounce right back.
In the second fixture against CWCC 2nd XI, NPCC set a solid total of 127/7 in their 20 overs, led by Awais Khurshid's impressive 35 runs. The bowlers then put on a clinic to dismiss CWCC for just 77 in 17.4 overs, securing a brilliant 50-run win. Murali Mohan had a massive standout game, adding a quick 17* with the bat and tearing through the opposition with bowling figures of 3/25.🔥
A massive well done to everyone for the effort and resilience shown to end the week on such a high note!
