A long trip to Hemsworth this morning to meet West End Terriers Football Club U9s Orange

Both sides started brightly and were evenly matched. Crowle boys really found their feet in the second quarter, which carried on for the rest of the match.

With plenty of end to end action, great team work in both defence and attack is what made for another fantastic performance today

This weeks accolades go to:

🏆 Henry as Parents’ player of the match for his great versatility in a number of positions, an absolute screamer from outside the box and a fantastic last minute clearance under pressure

🏆 Freddie as Coaches’ player of the match showing absolute strength and determination in defence, hard pressing and creating great opportunities with forward balls off a powerful boot

A wet and soggy Sunday morning at Windsor Park to welcome Brierley Cubs Jfc U9s who travelled all the way from Barnsley.

Both teams were pretty evenly matched throughout which made for a great match to watch.

Crowle’s training work on pressing paid off with everyone working hard to win possession and then make to most of it. With great communication and interaction from the whole team, it really was a fantastic performance.

Choosing players of the match was super difficult again this week, with special mentions to:
🌟 Henry who stepped in as GK to cover for Jack when injured
🌟 Alby who had possibly his best performance ever, and
🌟 Kyuss for excellent link up play and passing and ⚽️⚽️

In the end the awards this week went to:

🏆 𝙔𝙪𝙫𝙧𝙖𝙟 𝙖𝙨 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩’𝙨 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝, quietly consistent and absolutely formidable in defence, he played balls forward allowing his team mates to break

🏆 𝘼𝙙𝙬𝙞𝙠 𝙖𝙨 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩’𝙨 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝, who took the captain’s armband today, and was outstanding in midfield, holding on to possession, pushing forward with great success ⚽️⚽️

Thankfully the sun came out this afternoon to dry out the kit bag & trolley, and the freshly laundered bibs!

Happy Mother’s Day from U9 Saints who made the relatively short journey to Misterton this morning for the quarter finals of the League Trophy

A very damp start, and muddy boots (and kit!) even before kick off, Crowle were straight into action with an early penalty, calmly converted by Oscar

It was a tight game throughout with both teams pushing hard, before Misterton equalised in the 3rd quarter.

By the final quarter everyone was feeling the pressure of the clock ticking down, when Crowle were awarded a free kick on the left a couple of metres outside the box. Oscar struck it brilliantly with power and whilst the ball went low it missed the many feet & legs in the box to find the back of the net

Fantastic to be through to finals days for this great bunch of players who only came together as a team at the start of the season

And celebrated the win with daffodils for mums all round 💐

A fantastic day for football at Windsor Park, where we welcomed Tickhill JFC Blue.

Saints made a tremendous start, applying pressure and pushing forward with intensity. With some beautiful passing and movement throughout, everyone all played their part to perfection in the first half.

The second half wasn’t quite so pretty, with Saints digging deep, showing determination and resilience and working hard to push to the final whistle.

🏆 the Parents’ Player of the Match was Jack, who made fabulous saves and is the envy of all the opposition teams

🏆 Coaches player of the match was Adwik, who showed his skill and command in midfield

Another great team performance. Thank you to the parents for helping to set up and pack away, and for your support every week ⚽️

Just look at those grins!! A massive well done to Harry & Freddie who were today’s Parents’ and Coaches’ players of the match 🏆

The team were all fantastic and gave a brilliant account of themselves as we met Mexbrough Knights Orange at home in the second round of the Doncaster & District League Trophy

A confident performance, solid in defence combined with great passing play and positioning throughout. Especially pleasing to get four different players on the scoresheet 👏👏👏👏👏👏

Watch out, here we come to the quarter finals!

A deceptively cold morning down at Windsor Park as we welcomed Misterton FC Orange.

Saints started strongly with some excellent team play and passing movements. But it was a game of two halves and with tired legs, the shape disappeared.

🏆 Coaches player of the match was Oscar who literally ran his legs off, covering every inch of the pitch
