🏁🏁🏁 finished 2nd today at Belle Vue Speedway the track that I was very nervous about riding at again! Roll on the next one .

On route to Belle Vue Speedway for the 2nd round of the British youth championships with Young Lions Speedway , hoping for a better day today . I finished with 7 points yesterday and just missed the final . I’m feeling a bit a nervous for today as this is my first time back at this track since my accident last year 🏁🏁🏁 see you all soon and good luck to everyone taking part today 😀

Round 2 for both the 125cc and Support classes takes place Belle Vue Speedway today following the WRSA NDL fixture between the Colts and the Oxford Chargers.

The 2025 British Youth Championship gets underway at Leicester Lions Speedway this afternoon (Saturday, 5pm) for all classes, where including Finals there will be a total of 36 heats.

Eight riders compete in the 500cc class including current WSRA National Development League regulars Jamie Etherington, Stene Pijper, Lee Harrison and Ryan Ingram, eleven in the 250cc class, and a total of 13 riders across the 125cc and Support classes.

This round includes four female riders with Tia May Brant competing in the 500cc class and Demi-Blu Harris making her BYC debut in the 250cc class. Both Jessica Cox and Ella Marshall compete in the 125cc Support section.

British Youth boss Neil Vatcher said: “It is a fairly late start in the season for the first round and I know all the riders who are competing today are chomping at the bit to get the series underway.

“We are all really looking forward to the start of another British Youth Championship, which this season will be over seven rounds, which again is fantastic, and credit to all the clubs that are hosting a round starting with Leicester today.”

Fixtures for this years british youth championship meetings🏁

British Youth Schedule complete

Dates have been confirmed for two more rounds of the British Youth Championship to complete the 2025 schedule.

Belle Vue’s rounds will take place following WSRA NDL fixtures on June 1 (125cc) and July 6 (250cc and 500cc), whilst Workington will host all classes after their Cab Direct Championship match on August 9.

The full British Youth Championship schedule is:

Sat May 31 – Leicester (all classes)

Sun June 1 – Belle Vue (125cc)

Sat June 28 – Redcar (500cc/250cc)

Sun July 6 – Belle Vue (500cc/250cc)

Sun July 20 – Kent (all classes)

Sat Aug 9 – Workington (all classes)

Sat Aug 30 – Redcar (125cc)

Sat Sept 13 – Edinburgh (all classes)

Sun Sept 14 – Glasgow (all classes)

Regrettably the Women's Championship, also scheduled to take place at Leicester on the 31st May has been postponed for the time being due to lack of entries.

Neil Vatcher commented ‘Due to the FIM Women's Academy taking place in Croatia in July, it seems that all of the International riders are putting their focus into this event and haven't committed to coming to the UK due to the cost.

Therefore regrettably we have decided to postpone this event for the time being, with the possibility of running it again towards the end of the 2025 season if there is enough interest from the competitors.’
